NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Sheryl Crow will be joining some country stars to help the Country Music Association celebrate the 40th anniversary of its summer festival this year.

Crow, who's a Nashville resident herself, joins Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts and Keith Urban among the first performers announced Tuesday in a news release.

The CMA Music Festival will be held June 9-12 in downtown Nashville. The event started in 1972 as Fan Fair and has evolved into a showpiece for the genre, drawing its biggest stars and tens of thousands of fans.

Other performers announced include Martina McBride, Darius Rucker, Trace Adkins and The Band Perry. More performers will be announced later.
