WordPerfect isn't the powerhouse it once was. Microsoft owns that title with Word. But Corel is doing some good things with the WordPerfect brand… the latest package is a bonanza for the small office, home office market. WordPerfect Office 2000 Small Business Edition…

"What we're looking to offer is end to end, complete business solution for someone that they can purchase in one package."

Corel's Frank Tomei. So what's inside the box?

"What we have in there is our office suite, which includes WordPerfect, Quattro Pro and Corel Presentations, we also have partnered with Peachtree to offer Peachtree First Accounting in the package along with a number of other business solutions such as Norton Anti-Virus 2000 and WinFax basic edition."

There's also software to help you set up shop on the Web. And if you are worried about file compatibility with Microsoft Office….

"Not a problem at all. We have built in compatibility with Microsoft Office. So you can open up and save to doc format and to an Excel format and exchange files with other people using Microsoft products."

The clincher for many….the price…149 dollars. You can find more information at Corel.com.
