Cops: Pa. woman's body found in excavation site "suspicious"

BETHEL, Pa. - Authorities say a woman's body was found in an excavation storage site in eastern Pennsylvania over the weekend, and investigators are calling her death "suspicious."

State police in Berks County say the body of 24-year-old Alishia Eller of Pine Grove was found Saturday morning in a remote area in Bethel Township.

Police said Sunday that the body appears to have been at that location for 24 to 48 hours. More tests are needed to determine the cause of death. However, Trooper David Beohm, a state police spokesman, said authorities believe the death wasn't due to natural causes.

Authorities are asking anyone who knows Eller's whereabouts Friday night and Saturday morning to call investigators at the police barracks in Hamburg.
