Cops: Couple stole $800 of Red Bull from N.J. stores

TOMS RIVER, N.J. - A man and woman are wanted by police for allegedly stealing hundreds of dollars worth of Red Bull energy drinks from multiple Wawa convenience stores in Toms River, reports CBS New York.

Police said the two suspects committed the thefts between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the stores, according to the station. Officers said that the woman would act as a lookout while the man, dressed in a suit and carrying a suitcase, cell phone and clipboard, walked to the refrigerated beverage storage room.

According to authorities, the man would take a few minutes before leaving the storage room with the suitcase apparently filled, and then the pair would take off. CBS New York reports that, after investigating all of the stores involved, police determined that multiple cases of Red Bull worth over $800 were missing.

The station reports that both suspects were videotaped by surveillance cameras.

The male suspect was described by police as having slicked-back brown hair with a receding hairline that was pulled into a ponytail, as well as a thin, chinstrap-style beard which may be graying, according to CBS New York. The female suspect had shoulder-length brown hair and a tattoo on her left breast, police said.

The suspects may be driving a dark-colored older model Dodge Durango crew cab pickup truck, police said.

Those with information are asked to call Detective Bob O'Neill at 732-349-0150, ext. 1255.
