Connelly "Into" Her Latest Film's Cast

Fresh off of playing Dr. Helen Benson, a Princeton professor trying to save Manhattan from annihilation in "The Day the Earth Stood Still," Jennifer Connelly is now trying to save herself and her friends from relationship disasters in "He's Just Not That Into You."

"It was fun to make. It was really nice to be part of something this kind of light-hearted and fun, a great group of women and men working on it. It was really a great experience for me," Connelly told Early Show co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez.

Connelly's character is the most emotionally complex role in the movie. She's married and explores the difficulties that marriage can bring.

"The film is a collection of a bunch of different stories. It's told from different points of view. Looking at relationships and love and people struggling to find love. It's a nice varied collection of different story lines for men and women," Connelly said.

"And look who you get to have as a husband. How adorable is this man?" Rodriguez asked.

"Bradley Cooper plays my husband. And he's such a good actor. And he has the most ridiculously blue eyes that I've seen," Connelly said.

"He took my breath away the first time he came on the screen!" Rodriguez added.

"And he's very handsome, and he's really marvelous. He did a great job in the movie," Connelly said.

Connelly added to the strong group of women in the cast, including Jennifer Aniston, Ginnifer Goodwin, Scarlett Johansson and Drew Barrymore.

She wished that they could have all become close friends, but their varied schedules didn't allow them to spend much time together.

"But I really admire all of them and had such a great time. Jennifer Aniston was so much fun. I thought she was such a great woman," Connelly said.

Connelly admitted that she wished that Aniston lived in New York because she could see herself being friends with her.

"Oh, yeah. You know, a girl can dream. She seems like a good one, you know?" Connelly said. "She's one of those girls."

"Can you relate in any way to what these women go through in the movie? Has anyone ever not been that into you?" Rodriguez asked.

"Yes. Sure. Everyone has that. Absolutely," she said.

"And how could you tell that your husband, Paul Bettany, how could you tell that he was into you when you met?" Rodriguez asked.

"We were friends first before we wound up getting together as a couple. But I don't know. It's just one of those things that seemed to work," Connelly said.

The two met while working on "A Beautiful Mind" and are filming another movie together called "Creation" where they actually got to do scenes with each other.

"How different was it this time around?" Connelly said.

"I felt so blessed going to work with him every day. I literally kept reminding myself, this may never happen again. And how fortunate are we that we're able to go to work together. It was a great project for us, I think, to work on together," Connelly said.

"He's Just Not That Into You" isn't just a chick flick Connelly pointed out. After the premiere, a number of men came up to her and said that they didn't expect to like the film, but they did.

"There must be a reason why Ben Affleck wanted to do it and Bradley Cooper and Louie Guzman is in it, Kevin Connolly, Justin Long. There's a great group of men in the film as well. It told stories of love and relationships from a lot of different perspectives. And I think there were really strong male characters in the film as well. So men shouldn't be afraid to go see it," Connelly said.
