Three residents of the International Space Station are preparing to return to Earth tonight, after spending months living in space.

The international group that will be descending to Earth on the Soyuz spacecraft Monday night includes American astronaut Tom Marshburn, Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield and Russian cosmonaut Roman Romaneko.

Since boarding the ISS, Hadfield has become a social media darling, posting photos and videos that quickly go viral. His collection of  videos on YouTube have been viewed millions of times. In February, the Canadian astronaut sang a song with the Barenaked Ladies, marking the first music collaboration from space.

In March, Hadfield became the first person living in the British Commonwealth to take command of the ISS. Queen Elizabeth II later congratulated Hadfield for his accomplishments in a statement.
