(CBS/AP) Chris Brown has apologized for his behavior in his dressing room at "Good Morning America" earlier this week. The 21-year-old singer says he needed to let out his anger after being asked repeatedly about his 2009 attack on former girlfriend Rihanna.

ABC News said Brown smashed a window in his dressing room after his interview with GMA's co-host Robin Roberts on Tuesday. Roberts had asked Brown about the Grammy eve beating two years ago, for which he is still on probation.

During an appearance Wednesday on BET's "106 & Park," Brown said he was under the impression that the interview would only focus on his new album, "F.A.M.E."

Brown apologized and said he was disappointed by his actions. He also noted that he didn't physically harm anyone.
