Check out a slinky falling in super slow-motion

(CBS News) It's kind of a slow day today out here on the Internet.I mean, it's hot outside, so everyone is feeling a bit lethargic.  And Twitter keeps going down for some reason. So I'm going to take all this as a sign that we need something slow in terms of our next video to post. Like super slow-motion slow. Like a slinky in super slow-motion. Like the above video. Like... oh, you get the idea, just watch it already.

That is some epic slinky in super slow-motion footage there, right? And there's even some learning!  About slinky physics!  How cool is that?  Very cool, in my opinion.  The YouTube video aptly entitled "Awesome HD Slinky Slow-Mo" was posted by Veritasium who write about the project:

The original goal of Veritasium was to show the beauty of science and I think the first minute and a half of this is the closest I've come. This is the last in a series of six videos about slinkies.

The last in the series of slinky videos... but, but, but why? We only just found you and started to fall in love! Oh, well, I have a feeling they probably have something just as amazing or even more so up their sleeve for their next project. At least I hope they do.  No pressure. And to check out more work by Veritasium (including the first five videos), you can click here to go to their YouTube page.
