Charlie Sheen splits from fiancee Brett Rossi

Charlie Sheen will not be added to the 2014 celebrity weddings list.

ET confirmed with the "Anger Management" actor that he and his fiancee Brett Rossi, a former adult film star, have called it quits just weeks before their November nuptials.

"Scotty and I had a great year together as we traveled the world and crossed a lot of things off our bucket list," Sheen, 49, said in a statement. "She's a terrific gal-- but we've mutually decided to go our separate ways and not spend the rest of our lives together."

The former "Two and a Half Men" star added, "I've decided that my children deserve my focus more than a relationship does right now. I still have a tremendous fondness for Scotty and I wish her all the best."

Sheen surprised everyone in February when he announced that he proposed to Rossi during a Valentine's Day getaway to Hawaii after the two had only been dating since Nov. 2013. Sheen tweeted at the time:

Rossi's reaction to the engagement was a bit more eloquent. "Yes! We are engaged! He even was a gentleman and got down on one knee," Rossi told E! News back in February. "I was not expecting it at all. We had a beautiful Valentine's Day and he proposed to me early this morning after we watched the sun rise."

This would have been the fourth marriage for Sheen, whose first marriage to Donna Peele ended in an annulment. He is also divorced from Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller.

Sheen has five kids from his previous marriages, Cassandra Jade Estevez, Lola Rose, Sam, Max and Bob Sheen.
