Khan tweeted that she wasn't ready to perform after the passing of her friend.

In 1978, Khan released the song "I'm Every Woman," written by the songwriting team Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson. Houston later recorded a hit version of the track for "The Bodyguard" soundtrack.
