Celine Dion announces return to Las Vegas show

Celine Dion's show will go on.

The singer announced Wednesday she's returning to her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on this summer. Tickets for the new performances go on sale March 28.

Dion, 46, had postponed the residency and canceled her tour of Asia last year to care for her husband, Rene Angelil, 73, who is battling cancer. She was also fighting an illness that caused inflammation in her throat muscles.

"I am excited to finally tell my fans I am coming back to Caesars Palace. It was Rene's wish that I come back" she said in a statement. While my family will always be my priority, my fans are just as important to me. I look forward to performing again for all of you starting Aug. 27, and more importantly having Rene there with me. Thank you for giving me this time I needed to spend with my family."

In a new interview with ABC News, Dion revealed her husband has to be fed through a feeding tube because of his throat cancer.

"He can't eat so I feed him," she said. "He's got a feeding tube. I have to feed him three times a day."

The singer and her husband married in 1994 and have three children together. Angelil, who stepped down as his wife's manager in June, has been battling throat cancer for 15 years.

Now, as he continues to fight his health issues, she's returning to the stage with a brand new show.

"I'm doing it for him. I'm doing it for my fans," she explained. "We have a ticket to live. We have a ticket to ride. We're living, so live. Let's go."
