Carey Mulligan reportedly expecting her first child

You wouldn't know it from the photos of Carey Mulligan on the red carpet of the 2015 Tony Awards on Sunday, but the actress is pregnant, Us Weekly reported Monday.

Multiple sources tell the magazine that "The Great Gatsby" actress, 30, is expecting her first child with her husband Marcus Mumford, the lead singer of the band Mumford and Sons. The couple, who had been childhood pen pals, married in Somerset, England, in 2012.

Although Mulligan, who was nominated for a Tony Award for her role in Broadway's "Skylight" lost to Helen Mirren in "The Audience," the actress still went home glowing. One insider said, "They weren't planning on announcing, be she hasn't stopped working. Everybody around her is being supportive. The show ends soon and they're going back to England after."

Pregnancy rumors popped when people noted that she was sporting looser, straighter styles on the red carpet, especially after appearing at the premiere for her latest movie, "Far From the Maddening Crowd" in a loose-fitting Lanvin dress.

Mulligan said in the May 2015 issue of Vogue that she keeps her marriage private because "Marcus is the only thing that's mine that I can keep totally away. So I try to."

Mulligan's close friend Sienna Miller gave a more intimate picture of the Mulligan-Mumford homestead, where the spirit is always the more the merrier.

"They have chickens and a dog, and roasts and friends, jams by campfires," Miller told Vogue. "It's sort of idyllic. Marcus can headline Glastonbury and Carey can be nominated for however many Oscars, and then they come back to their farm, and they're in big woolly jumpers and funny hats, raising piglets. It's an amazing balance they've managed to strike. I can't wait for a little baby to come along."
