Tyra Banks' Alleged Stalker Ordered To Stay Away

4A man charged with stalking Tyra Banks has been ordered to stay away from the talk-show host or face going to jail.

Brady Green, according to a criminal complaint, has followed Banks from coast to coast since January, sent her letters and flowers, and tried to telephone her. Last week he was issued a court order requiring him to leave her alone.

Green, of Dublin, Ga., was arrested when he showed up several times March 18 at the Manhattan building where "The Tyra Banks Show" is taped and asked to speak to her, a misdemeanor complaint filed in Criminal Court says.

Banks also hosts the CW reality show "America's Next Top Model."

The complaint says building custodian Edward Troiano told police Green also had appeared at Banks' Los Angeles studio "on multiple occasions" and asked to speak to her. He said Green had sent her letters and flowers and had tried to reach her by telephone at least five times, the complaint says.

Banks, 34, told police that Green's actions had caused her to fear that she was in danger.

Police charged Green, 37, with stalking, criminal trespass and harassment. After his arraignment last Wednesday on the charges, Criminal Court Judge Anthony Ferrara released him without bail and ordered him to return to court May 13.

Hulk Hogan Is Sued Over His Son's Car Crash

Hulk Hogan is being sued by the man who was critically injured in a car crash involving the wrestler's son.

John Graziano's attorneys filed a lawsuit Monday in Clearwater, Fla., against Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea. The lawsuit says he and his estranged wife, Linda, are liable as the parents of 17-year-old Nick Bollea.

Graziano was a passenger in Nick Bollea's Toyota Supra when Bollea lost control and crashed into a tree on a downtown Clearwater street Aug. 26.

Lawyers say the Iraq war veteran - who wasn't wearing a seat belt - was left in a semiconscious state and will require care for the rest of his life. An attorney says millions of dollars will be sought.

Nick Bollea is facing a criminal charge of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury.

Tejano Singer Navaira Clings To Life

Even if he survives a horrific head injury suffered in a bus crash, Grammy-winning Tejano singer Emilio Navaira faces a long recovery and an uncertain future, his doctors say.

Navaira, 45, known to his fans simply as Emilio, was behind the wheel of his tour bus before dawn Sunday following a weekend show when it slammed into an interchange barrier on a Houston-area freeway, propelling him through the windshield.

Police said while the crash remained under investigation, their preliminary probe showed Navaira was not licensed to drive the 26,000-pound bus. His agent said the singer loved to drive it and normally did.

The neurosurgeon who operated on the San Antonio-born Navaira to remove a blood clot warned that the performer "might not make it." Physicians hoped a research technique using hypothermia to lower his body temperature would keep Navaira's brain from further swelling and help his recovery.

Smashing Pumpkins Sue Virgin Records Over Illegally Using Name

The Smashing Pumpkins are suing Virgin Records, saying the record label has illegally used their name and music in promotional deals that hurt the band's credibility with fans.

In a breach-of-contract lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, the rockers said they have "worked hard for over two decades to accumulate a considerable amount of goodwill in the eyes of the public," and that Virgin's use of the band in a "Pepsi Stuff" promotion with Amazon.com and Pepsi Co. threatens their reputation for "artistic integrity."

Virgin released the Smashing Pumpkins' music for more than 17 years, but the only active agreement between the two parties, the lawsuit claims, is a deal granting Virgin permission to sell digital downloads of the band's songs. The agreement does not give Virgin the right to use the band in promotional campaigns to sell outside products, the lawsuit said.
