Broadband Content Bits: MySpace Latino; MSNBC Streams; Nielsen's VideoCensus; CelebTV-thePlatform

-- MySpace builds out new Hispanic sites: The Fox Interactive social network says it is building on the bilingual MySpace Latino site it launched last year with eight new communities devoted to its roughly 9 million Spanish-speaking members. The new Hispanic community sites will focus on areas within sports, entertainment, fashion and music. *Sprint* and McDonald's are the collected sites' initial sponsors.

-- Nielsen Online releases VideoCensus numbers: Nielsen Online has just released the latest numbers on online video consumption from its VideoCensus measuring tool. While total online video viewers decreased to 115.8 million in February from 116.7 in January, the total number of streams increased to 6.3 billion from 6 billion. Streams per viewer increased to 54.7 from 51.3 as did average time per viewer, up to 130.7 minutes from 124.4 minutes. YouTube garnered 2.9 billion streams in February, while Fox Interactive Media (NYSE: NWS) came in second with approximately 406 million and Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) came in third with 244.8 million streams.

-- MSNBC.com reports all-time site record for video streams: MSNBC.com has reported an all-time site record of 125.7 million on-demand video streams in March, following a month of record-setting numbers in February. In February, according to Nielsen's Video Census, the site ranked number one in total video streams and in time spent viewing videos14 percent ahead of CNN.com. It also had 7 million video unique users, 31 percent ahead of CNN.com.

-- CelebTV and thePlatform make video publishing deal: Online video tech firm thePlatform will now manage and publish television-quality video content for entertainment news VOD provider CelebTV.com, including CelebTV.com's partners such as AOL (NYSE: TWX) Video, Comcast.net, iTunes and YouTube. Release.
