Brad Pitt hails Angelina Jolie as "heroic"

Nearly every star in Hollywood has come out and lent their support to Angelina Jolie after she opened up about undergoing a double mastectomy after being told by doctors that she carried a "faulty gene" which increases the chances of breast and ovarian cancer.

But now the one star that really matters, Brad Pitt, has spoken out about his partner's private pain, and hailed her as "absolutely heroic."

"Having witnessed this decision firsthand, I find Angie's choice, as well as so many others like her, absolutely heroic," Pitt told the London Evening Standard. "I thank our medical team for their care and focus. All I want for is for her to have a long and healthy life, with myself and our children. This is a happy day for our family."
