(CBS) - Georgia authorities tentatively identified a body found in an abandoned well as that of a missing 33-year-old woman and arrested her fiance in connection with her death, CBS Atlanta reports.

Brent Shubert was arrested Sunday and charged with malice murder, aggravated assault and concealing a death in connection to Bonny Cooner's death. She was last seen on Jan. 28 at her home in Canon, Ga.

Authorities said agents of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation drove to a secluded area in Franklin County on Saturday and recovered human remains from an abandoned well, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death and to confirm the identity of the remains, the newspaper reported.

Shubert reportedly told CBS Atlanta that he last saw Cooner at home with her 12-year-old son, and said he was in "emotional highs and lows the past several weeks."

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation on Friday said they suspected foul play when investigators asked Shubert to come in for another interview and he failed to do so, according to the station. He was arrested early Sunday morning in a restaurant parking lot in Anderson, S.C.

Shubert's extradition hearing was expected to take place Monday.
