Bobbi Kristina Brown was most searched term in 2015

This year is coming to a close, and 2015 was a big year for entertainment, between the untimely death of Bobbi Kristina Brown and the many news stories involving the Kardashian family.

A look back at the year's top searches on Yahoo gives a good summary of what entertainment stories mattered the most to Americans in 2015. Bobbi Kristina Brown's tragic hospitalization and subsequent death made headlines for months, making her name the top search of 2015.

Caitlyn Jenner was the second most searched celebrity on Yahoo this year, getting bumped out by searches for the iPhone, and Caitlyn's daughter, Kendall, came in close at No. 4. Stepdaughter Kim Kardashian barely trailed Kendall and Caitlyn at No. 7.

The top searches on Yahoo in 2015:

  1. Bobbi Kristina Brown

  4. Kendall Jenner
  5. Minecraft
  6. Jennifer Aniston
  7. Kim Kardashian

Women rocked the top 10 searches -- not a single male celebrity made the cut -- and they ranged from movie stars like Jennifer Aniston, who got married to Justin Theroux this year, to top fighter Ronda Rousey and "Teen Mom" star turned adult star turned "Celebrity Big Brother" star Farrah Abraham.

Though no male celebrities made the top 10 searches this year, Yahoo did compile a list of the top 10 searched male celebrities in 2015. Unsurprisingly, Kardashian affiliates topped the list again, with Kourtney Kardashian's ex, Scott Disick, topping the chart at no. 1. Disick checked into rehab at least twice this year. Coming in second on the list was Khloe Kardashian's ex, NBA star Lamar Odom, who was hospitalized after an alleged drug-fueled bender at a Las Vegas brothel. He is still recovering. Searches for the Kardashian exes beat out those for pop sensation Justin Bieber and scandal-embroiled reality star Josh Duggar.
