Beastie Boys' "Hot Sauce Committee Part 2" coming May 3

(CBS) In a post on its website Monday, the Beastie Boys released the cover of its upcoming album,  "Hot Sauce Committee Part 2."

The post appears with the words, "MAY THREE, Y'all," as a caption.

On Sunday, this post appeared: "Since the dawn of time, and perhaps even before, there was a silent order who were tasked with a mission. They held their secret tightly. On may 3rd the HOT SAUCE COMMITTEE PART TWO will be unleashed on the general public. Hold fast ye heathens."

"Hot Sauce Committee Part 1" was delayed while MCA Adam Yauch underwent cancer treatment. "I know it's weird and confusing," said Yauch in an October 2010 statement, "but at least we can say unequivocally that 'Hot Sauce Committee Part 2' is coming out on time, which is more than I can say about Part 1, and that really is all that matters in the end."

As Pitchfork reports, many of the tracks for "Part 1" are included on "Part 2."
