Anna Duggar paid Josh Christmas visit at rehab center

Anna Duggar has demonstrated over and over again that she is trying to mend things with her husband Josh Duggar, who was rocked by a cheating and child molestation scandal this year.

A source told People that Anna visited Josh for Christmas at his faith-based rehab center in Rockford, Illinois, where he has been staying and receiving treatment since he admitted his addiction pornography in light of the Ashley Madison hacking incident in August. The incident occurred after unearthed police reports revealed that Josh had been accused of inappropriately touching five minor girls in 2006, including his sisters Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald.

The family has mostly stood by Josh ever since, and Jill and Jessa currently have a TLC special called "Counting On," which depicts their lives after the scandal and after "19 Kids and Counting" was pulled from the cable channel.

The People source said that Anna flew on the Duggars' private plane from Arkansas. Records indicate that the plane returned to Arkansas on Tuesday night.

A second source told people that Anna visited Josh a month ago along with her youngest daughter, Meredith Grace.

Anna said on "Counting On" that when the scandal broke, she felt confused and heartbroken.

"How could this happen in our marriage?" she asked. "Josh is my first love, he's my one and only."

"I didn't know what to do, I knew we needed help," she said. "My only hope was to cling to my faith ... If I went off of what I was feeling, I would turn a mess into a disaster."

A source told ET that despite all the problems in their marriage, Anna and Josh have been sending each other love letters as he stays in rehab.

"Anna is planning on getting back together with Josh, that's just how it goes," the source said. "The family was taught to have a new level of forgiveness towards Josh."
