Al Qaeda Sets Up Training Camps in Mauritania & Mali, Says German Intelligence Chief

The head of Germany's foreign intelligence agency, Ernst Uhrlau, told reporters that al Qaedaʼs training operations are currently shifting from Afghanistan to Mali and Mauritania. Uhrlau said that terrorists from Algeria, Morocco, Somalia and Nigeria are now turning to the new North Africa camps as a base for their military training, from which they will launch their operations.
