Actress Kate Hudson Is Pregnant

Goldie Hawn is going to be a grandma.

Her daughter, actress Kate Hudson, and Hudson's musician-husband Chris Robinson, announced Thursday they are expecting their first child. They have been married since December 2000.

The baby is due sometime early next year, according to the couple's publicist, Brad Cafarelli.

Hudson stars in the new romantic-comedy "Alex & Emma," and Robinson, formerly of the group The Black Crowes, plans to begin touring soon with his new band, New Earth Mud. Hudson won a Golden Globe for her role in hit film "Almost Famous."

Kate Hudson is 24 and Chris Robinson is 36.
