She's been famous since the day she was born, but it's more about when she was born than who her parents were or where she was from.

Kathy Casey-Kirschling is considered to be the first Boomer -- the first person born during the period referred to as the Baby Boom. And on Monday, she became the first of nearly 80 million of the Baby Boomer generation to register for Social Security benefits.
