911: Sports Editor in Pool of Blood

INTRODUCTION
Columbia, Mo. - October 31, 2001
Kent Heitholt, a popular sports editor at the Columbia Daily Tribune, is found beaten and strangled with his own belt in the newspaper's parking lot.

CONCLUSION
After having dreamlike memories of killing Kent Heitholt, a local teen, Chuck Erickson pleads guilty to second degree murder and agrees to testify against his friend Ryan Ferguson. Erickson is sentenced to 25 years in prison with a chance for parole in 13 years. Ferguson is convicted of second degree murder and first degree robbery and sentenced to 40 years in prison.
