50 Cent's aunt left traumatized after seeing full-frontal scene on "Power"
Even celebrities like 50 Cent gets flak from their families sometimes.
The rapper revealed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Tuesday that his aunt was very upset after she saw his penis on his Starz show “Power.”
Earlier, when the episode aired, 50 Cent claimed on Instagram that he didn’t know the full-frontal scene would air, writing to the showrunner, Courtney Kemp Agboh, “Man I just saw episode 4, of POWER Courtney I’m a kill you, this is not funny.”
At the time, he wrote on Instagram that his aunt had to get up twice while watching the show because of the explicit content.
Host Jimmy Kimmel said to 50 Cent, “The story was that somehow accidentally your penis got on the show.”
“But it wasn’t like, an accident,” admitted the rapper. He said that Agboh told him, “You just have to take one for the team,” and later explained that when he saw the episode before it aired, he had watched it on a small screen with dark lighting and didn’t realize how -- ahem -- prominent his appendage would be.
“My aunt sees the show and she’s like ‘I’m traumatized,’” he told Kimmel of his Aunt Geraldine, who later texted him. “Auntie G -- she was like, ‘What the f***? Why didn’t you tell me?’”
Somebody needs to screen future episodes of “Power” for Auntie G.
