10 best dating cities for single moms
Where do single moms get the most action in the United States? A new study has some surprising results.
A list released by OurTime.com, a dating site for singles over 50, ranks the top cities for single moms to find dates. The company examined internal data of its 1 million members, and searched for U.S. cities where female members who are parents get messaged the most.
OurTime.com says that about 69 percent of its members are parents. The site's relationship expert, Dr. Terri Orbuch, believes there are a number of reasons moms make ideal partners.
"Women, who are parents, are attractive partners because they have learned to juggle many responsibilities and demands at once," Orbuch said in a press release. "Most of us want partners who are empathic, giving, supportive and fun to be with. A mother has had practice exhibiting all of these qualities."
There must be something in the water in California -- the state is the only to appear on the list twice. But it couldn't quite beat that Southern hospitality -- two states south of the Mason-Dixon line soared to the top the list. Did your hometown make the list? Keep reading to find out.
