Top 2012 Super Bowl ad campaigns with the most online views

Eli Manning reacts in the closing minutes of the Super Bowl XLVI(CBS) We know which team won the Super Bowl, but which ad campaigns reigned supreme this year?

Visible Measures took a peek online at all the ad campaigns that people were watching and tallied the votes. Combining the campaign's original views, views from users who re-uploaded the ads and views of videos inspired by the ads, they came up with the top ten most popular 2012 Super Bowl ad campaigns.

10. "Performance Balls and Puck" (Bridgestone)

Approximate number of views: 2.1 million

Bridgestone is revolutionizing the sports world by using their tire technology to replace popular sporting equipment. Whether it is making basketballs that are silent enough that they won't wake a sleeping baby or footballs that hug curves when you throw them, tire technology might change the games you love for the better.

9. "Think Fast" (Hyundai)

Approximate number of views: 3.4 million

Hyundai showed that their Genesis Coupe had at least one special feature that most drivers weren't aware of: It could be perform CPR. Normally people wouldn't want to be jerked back and forth in their seats, but in this life-saving scenario, the popularity of the ad shows that people seemed to enjoy the bumpy ride the commercial suggested.

8. "Seduction" (Fiat)

Approximate number of views: 3.4 million

Sexy, foreign women are always a Super Bowl crowd pleaser, and so are sexy, foreign cars. Fiat combines both of them in a commercial that made a lasting impression. The company said the commercial boosted the Fiat 500's site traffic 138 percent, according to Edmunds.com.

7. "2012" (Chevy)

Approximate number of views: 3.7 million

Chevy's ad poked fun at all the 2012 end-of-the-world talk. Friends who drive Chevy trucks are seen surviving the apocalypse, while their Ford-driving friends aren't so lucky.

The ad also got tons of media attention when Ford unsuccessfully tried to have the ad pulled, saying the claims that their trucks weren't the most dependable were false.

6. "It's Reinvented!" (Toyota)

Approximate number of views: 5.4 million

In order to prove their point that they've reinvented the Camry with everything a driver could want, Toyota said they also created other items, including a crime-fighting plant, curtains made out of pizza and rain that will make you slimmer. Unfortunately, none of these items -- especially the baby/time machine that everyone now wants -- are not included with the vehicle or for sale.

5. "Vampire Party" (Audi)

Approximate number of views: 5.6 million

America's obsession with vampires, thanks to the popularity of "Twilight" and other fang-themed media, probably helped with the success of the ad campaign. A group of partying vampires meet an unfortunate end due to the new Audi "daylight" LED headlights. The "Killing Moon" song also helped with the eerie, yet memorable ad.

4. "Crash the Super Bowl 2012" (Doritos)

Approximate number of views: 6.5 million

A Doritos fan-created advertisement that showed us that young and old alike won't stop at anything to get their chips called "Sling Baby" currently holds the number one spot on the USA Today Facebook Super Bowl ad meter.

The "Crash the Super Bowl" 2012 winner's views, along with the other submissions including the notable "Man's Best Friend", which is also vying for the top spot, helped the ad campaign become the fourth most popular this year. The final results of the USA Today Facebook Super Bowl ad meter won't be revealed until late Tuesday, but you can bet that Doritos will be in one of the top spots.

3. "Transactions" (Acura)

Approximate number of views: 16 million

Jerry Seinfeld shows how much he wants a 2012 Acura NSX by offering everything -- including the last living munchkin from the "Wizard of Oz" -- to get one. But, he's facing some stiff competition from Jay Leno, who has no problem swooping in and stealing the show.

2. "The Dog Strikes Back" (Volkswagen)

Approximate number of views: 18.5 million

There's nothing that Americans like more than a tale that shows you that hard work and perseverance pays off. Volkswagen won the hearts of the audience with their commercial, which tells the story of an overweight dog who works hard to shed the pounds so he can go outside and chase the new 2012 Beetle. It also helped that their immensely popular teaser ad, "The Bark Side," helped build online hype for the ad.

1. "Matthew's Day Off" (Honda)

Approximate number of views: 19.2 million

Matthew Broderick proves he still has that school boy charm by hilariously revisiting memorable scenes from his classic film, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," in a Honda CRV, combining pop culture and clever advertising.

The public's fondness for Ferris helped propel this Honda ad into the number one spot long before game day. The video has over 80 clips associated with it across the Web.
