EXCLUSIVE: Susan Finkelstein, Alleged Sex-for-Series Wife, Says "No Such Thing as a Free Ticket"

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Susan Finkelstein, the Phillies fan who, police say, wanted to trade sex for a pair of tickets to the World Series, told Crimesider in an exclusive interview that "there is no such thing as a free ticket."

The 43-year-old Finkelstein, a University of Pennsylvania graduate student, vehemently denied police allegations that she was willing to have sex with an undercover police officer and his brother in exchange for World Series seats. And she was upset with what she felt was the arresting officers' cavalier attitude.

"They arrested me; put me in the back of the squad car. In my opinion they seemed amused by the whole thing," she said Thursday during a phone interview.

Her lawyer, William Brennan, says that arresting officers "chained her to a table like a dog."

Finkelstein says she was handcuffed to a table at the police station after her arrest. But she also says that she is not angry with police in general and has always respected them, adding that officers drove her back to her car after they released her.

Bensalem, Pa. police have claimed that Finkelstein knew exactly what she was getting into when she posted a suggestive ad on Craigslist titled "Desperate Blonde Needs WS Tix," and later met an undercover officer at a nearby bar, Manny Browns.

Finkelstein's lawyer would not let her get into the specifics of what was or was not said during that encounter, but both were adamant that she did not offer sexual favors as police allege.

Finkelstein says her world has been turned upside down by her Monday Oct. 26 arrest and the subsequent media frenzy. But she hasn't shied from it. The life-long Phillies fan gave interviews with local television as well as Good Day New York, Good Day Philadelphia and Crimesider to tell her side of the story.

She says it has been hardest on her husband, a 56-year-old director at a higher education tutoring firm, who is "angry" and "bewildered."

Finkelstein says the online-advertised search for tickets was for her and her husband.

There might be one silver lining in this saga for Finkelstein. Kind strangers have turned up to offer her tickets to tonight's game in New York and the following game in Philadelphia.

Asked if the four free tickets were worth it, the straight-A student who skipped school as a teenager to see the 1980 Phillies' homecoming World Series parade said, "There's no such thing as a free ticket."

If I were a judge asked to hear this case, I would fine the prosecutor who brought it into court and use my influence to have those cops fired.

Consensual *crimes* are a waste of time, money and effort. Do YOU really want to pay to jail, feed and provide medical care for that woman who would otherwise support herself and be a contributing member of society?

Her arrest is an inexcusable stupidity! Consensual acts between adults are no one*s business but theirs!

This outrage is RELIGIOUS LAW being enforced by civil authority and makes us no better than Saudi Arabia. Religious police are Un-American!

A pox on those stupid cops and the bible thumpers who insist religious law be imposed by gun toting, badge wearing thugs, on the non-superstitious!

Imagine:

She gets the tix w/o problems and they go to the game.

One guy sitting next to them says to the next guy "Hey Rog, where are Danny and Sully? These two are in their seats."

To which Rog replies loud enough for hubby to hear "I forgot to tell you - Sully told me they traded their tix to some blonde broad for a hummer".............
