White House Dog Delay

The First Lady's press secretary Katie McCormick Lelyveld says "definitely not this week," when asked for guidance on the arrival of the Obama's family dog.

President Obama has said the First Family would get the dog "after I get back from the G20 summit."

He has said the family had already selected the dog it wants.

Thanks for following up about the dog. I am hearing unofficially that he may actually make an appearance this week. Very exciting. I am tracking all First Dog news at my blog The Obama Dog Blog. Tips (on and off the record) are welcome!

Here is the story I link back to this article...

"I'm teasing," he added. "The dog will be there shortly. We have been laying the groundwork. I've got to go to the NATO summit. When I get back, the dog will be in place."

I doubt they ever get a dog; it was a campaign hoax they are trying fo figfure a way of getting out of.

Anyway, he's too TIRED to think about the dog today:

Day 79: President Obama's Schedule
Posted by Michelle Levi | Comment On This Post

President Obama returned from Iraq and his week in Europe around 2:30 am this morning, and he appears to be taking his 79th day in office to recover from an exhausting trip. (The flight home lasted 12 hours and 18 minutes.)

The president and First Lady have no planned public events scheduled for Wednesday, and there will be no White House briefing.
