Traffic Bogs Down First Online Inauguration

Complete Inaugural Coverage
Minutes after noon as Barack Obama took the oath of office, the much talked about online video coverage of the event almost ground to a halt.
Just as massive crowds filled the National Mall in Washington, millions of users flocked to online video feeds. Maybe we're not as far into the Internet Age as we thought because for the 20 or so minutes surrounding the big moment, it was hard, if not impossible, to watch the inaugural festivities.
We here at CBSNews.com experienced streaming difficulties due to an unusually high number of requests (although our video streams are working again).
Clicking around to some of the other major news outlets, they seemed to be having similar issues.
CNN.com had a note posted for potential viewers who came to see the historic moment. "You made it!" the message read. "However, so did everyone else."
The only thing to do? Wait in a line online.

- How about an apology to your loyal viewers CBS...? We come to your site among many other choices to watch the inauguration only to be shut out for the ending and left with a blank screen...

- I tried CNN.com, CBSnews.com, Foxnews.com, ABCnews.com and even BBC.com and all video was slow and jerkey and on one of the sites I got audio only with one picture that was frozen.
