Palin Accidentally Reprimands Her Own Supporters

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(RICHMOND, VA.) - Protesters at Sarah Palin’s rallies can always expect to be shot down with some choice words from the candidate. But at a rally here today, the confused Alaska governor mistakenly issued a stern rebuke to her own supporters.

The outdoor crowd was so massive that many were unable to hear Palin speak, so about midway through the Alaska governor’s remarks, some of them tried to take matters into their own hands, shouting in unison, “We can’t hear you!”

When that didn’t get the candidate’s attention, they tried a new tactic.

“Louder!” they shouted.

Palin appeared flustered as she stopped reading from the prepared remarks, which were coming across her teleprompter.

“I would hope at least that those protesters have the courage and the honor of thanking our veterans for giving them the right to protest!” she admonished the confused crowd.

Palin’s husband Todd tried to put an end to the awkward episode by approaching his wife on stage and telling her, “They just can’t hear you back there. That’s it.”

Palin responded, “OK. I’m doing that,” and then continued with her stump speech.

Only someone as stupid as palin could gaffe as much.

And, only a party made up of mental midgets could embrace the moron that IS Caribou Barbie, believing she could one day lead the most powerful nation on Earth.

I wish this was just "an attack", however, I''ve never seen a politician with as much to lose prove how unqualified for the position he/she honestly would be.

Truthfully, palin makes bush look like a Rhodes Scholar, I NEVER thought THAT could be possible.

Well even though Sarah doesn''t have a future in the next administration, she could always be the poster child for stupidity.

"It''s that you are a puppet and a fool."

You''re like a 9/11 truther. You''re dogmatic, don''t present logical arguments, or even anything that you yourself have written, and anyone who disagrees with you is a fool, or brainwashed, or a sheep. Is Nader a cool guy? Yeah, he''d prolly be a good president. The problem is, a vote for Nader is not a vote that will help the country. You can keep ignoring this, and call me a sheep, but the fact of the matter is, a vote for Nadar is basically a vote for McCain. Cry about the injustice of the two party system, but it won''t change anything.

Stop making comments about Nader, he is a great man, however he is now irrelevant and a sad reminder of his former self. It is tragic that with as much support as he''s had, he could never overcome our two party system. Without mainstream relevence, he''s become an hinderance rather than a boon to the American people.

That''s a nice little place to retreat to, isn''t it? Anyone who disagrees with me isn''t a thinker. It''s like you''re a part of a cool secret club! You can hang out with Ralph in his treehouse, and he can explain how he''s not responsible for the first four years of Bush.

Yawn. A vote for Nader is a vote for McCain. All the copying and pasting in the world isn''t gonna change that.

"I did not vote Nader in 2000.

Nice assumption though ....

Ralph Nader in 2008! "

Way to completely miss the point.

Maybe I should clarify what I meant. Out of all the americans, do I think Barack Obama would be the best president? No. Do I think that Obama would do a better job then McCain? Yes. You guys basically agree with each other on what I said, just a misunderstanding.

What are you talking about? What I wrote is pretty much what that guy stated. Maybe not in the same words, but you people should be used to a bit of editing to go in-line with your views.

There''s a reason and it has to do with accountability and budget. Currently, the VA is trying to have PTSD removed as an ailment so they do not have to pay for it. They did remove it in 2005 but had to put it back after the furor erupted over non support of troops. The VA and other orgs are trying to scale back what they pay for, scale back the GI bill , and of course we all know the story of Ft Bragg and the abysmal conditions soldiers come back to.

The reason there is an underreporting is that the followup would show that soldiers often wait 1 to 2 years for brain injuries, are released too soon from other injuries or must wait so long that they die before being taken care of, that McCain has repeatedly voted down most appropriations for Vets is no secret. Vet orgs give Obama a B in support and McCain a D. That Obama is supported by more of the troops than McCAin is no secret either. The main points of the Bush admin was to use men like cannon fodder--no one wants to pay for fodder or care for it or provide benefits later. To acknowledge the real amount of deaths would decrease support further, but followup would reveal more horror stories and neglect by the gov, than has already come out.

There is a reason the polls say McCain is way more negative than Obama--more telling is what Obama does not do, but he could--the evidence is not even in question--it is all true and very damaging to McCain and Palin--as for whining--Why bother? YOu guys love torture--whining would only get you off.

I truly wish all the other boards and threads could really be like this one - Differing opinions argued in a very civil manner ..... I think it''''s safe to assume that more Repugs are becoming independents with last week''''s unveiling of the palin base at the repug rallies. Cheers!

I think (actually I know) he was being sarcastic. There was no civil manners showed there.

Give me a break...like Obama has been so innocent in this campaign. You people can sure dish it out, but you can''''t take it.

Obama has not smeared McCain. McCain IS erratic--that is not a smear--that was an observation.

If Obama wanted to do as the GOP has done, he''d bring up the connections to Liddy, Vogler, AIP, Keating 5 and how that scandal resembles the one we are in now, he''s refute Palin''s reformer role by bringing up all of her earmarks including ones for studying seal reproduction, he''s bring up Troopergate, her witchhunter pastor, her failure to separate church and state, her getting a house as a kick back, her ties to Stevens, McCain''s ties to North, the Ackerman project, to felons--he''d hammer in the ground the 17 former Fannie Mae employees on the McCain campaign including the campain mgr and his economic advisor, he''s underline the golden parachute to Fiorina that McCain defended after the bailout and he''d talk about deregulation McCain''s role in it.

There is a reason the polls say McCain is way more negative than Obama--more telling is what Obama does not do, but he could--the evidence is not even in question--it is all true and very damaging to McCain and Palin--as for whining--Why bother? YOu guys love torture--whining would only get you off.

If you read the post he said he was for Richardson in the primaries. And that he is voting for Obama because his policies are more inline with his personal views then McCain''s. So he is voting for who he thinks is the best canidate. And I can not disagree with him because those are his personal views. So I think you have the comprehension problem not me.
