Cindy McCain Unloads on Obama

(CBS)
From CBS News' John Bentley:

(BETHLEHEM, PA.) – It’s not just the Republican ticket criticizing Barack Obama – now the candidate’s spouse has some harsh words for their Democratic rival.

“Let me tell you just a little something that I was not so happy about. My son, like so many others, and today like the Palin’s son, have served on the front lines, helping keep peace and helping freedom for other people. I’m a blue star mom, just like Gov. Palin is. I’m proud of my sons, but let me tell you, the day that Sen. Obama decided to cast a vote to not fund my son when he was serving sent a cold chill through my body,” Cindy McCain said.

“I would suggest that Sen. Obama change shoes with me for just one day, and see what it means, and see what it means to have a loved one serving in the armed forces, and more importantly, serving in harms way. I suggest he take a day and go watch our fine young men and women deploy, get on those busses and leave with a smile and a charge.”

It’s the first time Mrs. McCain has taken such an aggressive stance towards her husband’s rival. She often introduces Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin, and she has spoken about their son’s military service, but she has not delved into actively attacking Sen. Obama.

The McCains have two sons in the military: their oldest son Jack is at the Naval Academy, and their younger son Jimmy is a Marine stationed in Iraq. Palin’s son Track is in the Army and deployed to Iraq on September 11th of this year.

McCAIN Voted Against Troop Safety Equipment:

7 McCain voted against the Bayh amendment which would have provided more than $360 million for the procurement of up-armored Humvees. Senator Obama voted "Yes." The amendment failed. (October 5, 2005: Vote 248: S.Amdt.1933 to H.R. 2683)

7 McCain voted against the Dodd amendment, which would have provided more than $320 million for personnel protection equipment for U.S. forces in Iraq. The equipment would have been paid for by reducing US funding for Iraqi reconstruction. (October 2, 2003: Vote 376: S.Amdt.1817 to S.1689)

7 McCain voted against the Landrieu amendment, which would have provided more than $1 billion for procurement for force protection and adequate equipment for National Guard and Reserve forces. The amendment failed. (April 2, 2003: Vote 116: S. Amdt. 452 to S.762)

Cindy McCain''s husband endorsed this pre-emptive war in Iraq. Yet, her own husband voted against Humvees and protective gear for the military people in Iraq three separate times. He voted against increasing funding for vets returning from Iraq. He voted against the GI Bill because it was too generous. He voted against education benefits for vets because it might make military people leave the military.

Cindy McCain is a former drug addict who is wealthy and has always been wealthy. She has no idea what an average American goes through. She has no right to put Obama down who is an honest person. Her husband''s campaign is running a lie/smear/slander campaign against Obama instead of addressing the serious issues our country faces. She thinks she is helping with this smear campaign, but the American people are onto you, McCain campaign and Cindy McCain, we know you are spreading lies! No one (except the extremely gullible) believe you anymore!

Now that Cindy McCain is actively involved in the presidential campaign, I hope that the news outlets run a few stories about her past. I''d imagine that a lot of "value" voters would be interested in her involvement in the breakup of McCain''s first marriage, her and her husbands sleeping around, and her abuse and theft of prescription drugs. If i were McCain, I''d keep her off the stage.

mccain is no hero, research what his fellow POW have to say about him. Mccain''s voting record concerning Veterans and Military funding speaks for itself. He does not support our Military or our Veterans. He is a cowardly old man.

Cindy''s railing against Mr. Obama signals to me anyway, that she''s still popping Valium. How and why would she take this position when her husband voted the way accusing Barack of voting? Well, they say birds of a feather flock together, and Johnny doesn''t know how many houses he owns, so who knows, maybe they''re doing Valium together.

Cindy is getting desperate, she has waited so long to be a First Lady. (Since 1998 when McCain first started running for President).
She may not get to be Queen Bee, but she will still have her tool in the Senate to protect her coorporation and McCain''s mother, the oil heiress, will continue to count on John McCain as she always has.
I guess in John McCain''s mind country first means the same as corporations first!

Cindy McCain admitted her drug abuse began in 1989. Have to wonder how old her children were at the time and who was seeing to their welfare.

This is absolutely not true, and I guess its meant for those who don''t do their reserach. They''re hiding McCain''s voting record:
*McCain voted against the Bayh amendment which would have provided more than $360 million for the procurement of up-armored Humvees. Senator Obama voted "Yes." The amendment failed. (October 5, 2005: Vote 248: S.Amdt.1933 to H.R. 2683)

She stole Drugs from a Childrens Charity. People may start to worry if she starts talking about chills through her body, especially since her husband voted on that bill the same way Mr.Obama did.
She should be careful throwing dirt

Good for you rebelrepubli. I grew up in the deep south, and that poison was fed to me until My intellect allowed me to think for myself. Yes, unfortunantly I am doomed to hell now by my 4 sisters... Sad but true. These are the people you see and hear daily at the Palin rallies.

What disgusts me is McCain''s record voting on veteran''s issues gets him only a "C". How dare he send his wife out to flack for him on this issue when he won''t take care of those who served. I guess it''s all "I got mine".

This guy will tell you that if you are a Democrat there ain''t no way you''re going to heaven. The Republican Party has raised up a generation of hateful, angry and un-Christlike people. I find it amazing that McCain had a chance to bring this up at the debate Tuesday night, but he didn''t. Instead he send two women out to do his dirty work. A real hero? NOT!!

Looks like it''s open season on the McCains tonight and everyone else who''s decent. You''re sounding like David Letterman, folks, and he''s worthless.

Obama is nothing; he came from nothing; and he will always be nothing. He may win, but then I along with countless others will have the pleasure of laughing at you idiots who voted for him while you are wringing your hands and squalling, "How could have we made such a mistake."
