Palin: Obama Began His Political Career In Terrorist’s Living Room

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(SAN FRANCISCO) Before her campaign plane took off for a Sunday fundraiser here, CBS News asked Sarah Palin to respond to an analysis by the Associated Press that concluded her attempts to establish a friendship between Barack Obama and Weather Underground member William Ayers were “unsubstantiated and carried a racially tinged subtext that John McCain himself may come to regret.”

"The Associated Press is wrong,” Palin said. “The comments are about an association that has been known but hasn't been talked about, and I think it’s fair to talk about where Barack Obama kicked off his political career, in the guy's living room.”

Palin was referring to an event that Ayers hosted for Obama early in the Illinois senator’s career. But the AP notes, “No evidence shows they were ‘pals’ or even close when they worked on community boards years ago and Ayers hosted a political event for Obama early in his career.”

In what the AP called “a deliberate attempt to smear Obama” in a way that was “exaggerated at best if not outright false” and at a time when the McCain campaign has been losing ground in the polls, Palin on Saturday told an enormous crowd in Carson, California, that Obama “sees America as imperfect enough to pal around with terrorists.”

Palin repeated her string of highly personal attacks against Obama’s character and judgment at two private fundraisers throughout the day, even as she lamented that CBS News’ Katie Couric asked her questions in a series of interviews that made her think, “C’mon, let’s start talking to the American people about the issues you guys want to know about.”

Palin on Saturday painted Obama as someone who “is not a man who sees America as you and I see America,” and on Sunday, Palin did not back down an inch in hammering the Democratic nominee.

“And he, of course, having been associated with that group, a known domestic terrorist group, it's important for Americans to know,” she told CBS News. “It’s really important for Americans to start knowing who the real Barack Obama is."

The AP analysis noted that the McCain/Palin campaign’s decision to raise the issue of Obama’s “otherness” is one that the Arizona senator may come to regret, if not on a political level, than on a personal one.

“John McCain occasionally looks back on decisions with regret,” the AP wrote. “He has apologized for opposing a holiday to honor Martin Luther King Jr. He has apologized for refusing to call for the removal of a Confederate flag from South Carolina's Capitol.

“When the 2008 campaign is over McCain might regret appeals such as Palin's perhaps more so if he wins.”

The reality is that after almost two years of campaign we don''t really know who the real Barack Obama is. The Barack Obama we know so far is the one that Hollywood, the mainstream media and 1 billion dollars oof advertisement are presenting us.
I have been living in Chicago for 17 years and don''t know the real Obama still. The media is timid in attack the guy because they fear racism while they don''t hesitate to attack whoever gets in Obamas way to the coronation. They did it with Bill and Hillary Clinton and they attacked Sarah Palin right from the starting, and even McCain. Axelrod is a mastet of missinformation and innuendo and they know how to use the internet and the outside groups to smear their challengers, all that on Obama''s view while he trys to stay above the fray to look like a leader.
Obama judgments needs to be question and he needs to answer his previous relationships, deals and lack of leadership. Obama is a man without a vetted record, without experience or leadership achievements asking to elect him as the President of a country fighting two wars, economic crisis, corruption in Illinois, DC, Wall Street, etc.
He is risky!

Lets supposed if that was Palin or McCain who had had associations with a ex-unrepent-terrorist, what would be the DEMOCRATS be telling the American People?

It is Palin''s duty to let the American people know about this very important matter. After all, this Ayers terrorist was the very person to launch Barrack Obama political career.

So, the american must know about this and it is Palin''s duty to inform the american people.

Yesterday Palin said Obama had terrorist pals. OK, ex-terrorist pals. What is an issue here is that Obama clearly lied to the nation about his relationship with Ayers in an effort to distance himself Ayers, but when Ayers hosts a campaign event for Obama that is hardly a man who is "just another guy in the neighborhood."

The truth is facts indicate that Ayers and Obama have had a close working relationship related to the failed Chicago Annenberg Challenge where Obama was chairman and Ayer''s hosting of campaign fund raisers for Obama.

Honesty is the issue and Obama''s performance with the Annenburg project and his true relationship with Ayers, but on a recent Chicago radio talk about Annenburg the Obama campaign refused to participate except to e-mail activate the bloggers and callers to suppress the interviews.

What all the associations and friendships Obama has had do, is paint a picture of the values and beliefs that Obama may hold, since he won''t tell us himself. These are long term friendships with individuals holding radical views, some who have been convicted of illegal deeds, and who have supported Obama financially. How can Obama simply dismiss these people as being insignificant to his life and to who he is today.

Who is Barrack Obama? In depth looks at Barrack Hussein Obama''s long term relationships and mentors is critically important. But who will do it? The Times glossed over the Ayers story And now AP jumps in.There is much more there, but who will tell

I''ve read up on Obama and his ties to terrorism scare me.

That he is covering up these ties is even more cause for alarm.

"They have a relationship that goes back nearly 20 years. Ayers was Barack%u2019s friend, employer, colleague, and political supporter." From No Quarter Blog

As I''ve read blogs detailing the facts - it is clear to me that the Obama/Axelrod campaign has lied about the Obama association with Ayers.

Obama has very questionable friends and associates and this does cast doubt on his character.

Like what is going to dominate the news if Magoo takes this tack?

We''ve all heard the Ayers, Wright, stuff ad nauseum, and half the people who listen to this stuff just can''t afford to vote Republican this time around, and it makes them feel bad to be in that position.

So not only are Democrats and hard on their luck Republicans going to resent the lack of empathy from McCain to their plight, they''re going to take it out on Palin by talking about her swimsuits and her pageant days, and her family gossip, etc.

Who''s going to be looking at McCain? And for what? He''ll be irrelevant . . . I don''t get it . . .

I''m glad Governor Palin has taken off the gloves and is telling the truth. The AP is clearly "running interference" between Obama and the truth.

They are biased. But they should let America decide and tell the truth. Obama has been on multiple boards with Ayers, has spoken with him, his political career was launched in Ayers living room, Ayers is a friend of Chicago mayor Daley''s, and Obama called him a friend and tried to say he''s "respectable". He''s a terrorist... and radical whose group bombed the US... who doesn''t regret his actions.

So then, what''s Obama if these are his friends?

That''s a FAIR question!!

It shows me what kind of person Obama really is.

Many Americans DON''T know the truth about the Obama/Ayers association. I told my daughter (who is voting age) and she was shocked. She also was shocked to learn Obama says he is a Christian but denies Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.

I don''t care what leftist liberals say.

These things MATTER to MAIN STREET... even if they don''t matter to the MSM... and WE HAVE A RIGHT to know and make decisions based upon knowing the truth.

The MSM is just speaking like Obama''s campaign manager would.

America wants Governor Palin to take the gloves off, speak up, speak out and tell us what''s going on.

Tell the world, Sarah Palin, that your religion is being attacked while Obama says there are many ways to salvation besides Jesus Christ - and HE ISN''T BEING ATTACKED!!

The MSM isn''t even telling us the truth about his religion and keeps saying he''s a Christian.

That''s a lie. He says Jesus isn''t the only way of salvation. That means he isn''t a Christian. Christians DO BELIEVE Jesus is the only way of salvation - whether the MSM likes it or not!

It''s really fascinating ( and scary ) to take a peek into the strange outlandish world some people live in, you can almost hear that familiar voice saying "Next stop, the Twilight Zone". The occasional intelligent discourse concerning the Presidential election might mislead you for a moment into thinking you are communicating with ''normal'' individuals. Sadly and inevitably the unstable ones crawl out of the dark holes they sit in and with them always comes lots of hate, distrust, and conspiracy, conspiracy, conspiracy. I guess that%u2019s just part of the sickness. For heaven''s sake, do yourself a favor and run, don''t walk, to your nearest mental health professional. I realize it will be a long and difficult trip but it will be money well spent.

Listen Conroy, we have a right to vote on character for the Presidency of the US. Yes, we want to know where people stand.

You WERE ALL OVER Governor Palin - and you sure didn''t cry that people were discussing "otherness" as she was SLAMMED EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE BY.... YOU!!... THE MSM!!

We want to know the truth about the Ayers/Rezko/Obama associations, the truth about Obama saying he''s a Christian but denying Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation (he says there are "many ways" which makes him New Age or Humanist and not Christian).

You didn''t cry out that Governor Palin was being "picked on" for "otherness"... and these are legitimate things America deserves to know.

Quit running interference for Obama!!

Give us the news!!

Report the truth and let Main Street decide and quit trying to throw this election.

Barrack Hussein Obama keeps associating John McCain to President BUSH, I for one, think it is far better to be associated to President Bush than to be associated to an unrepentant Terrorist-Ayers.

PALIN must spread the truth to all Americans. It is her DUTY to tell the truth to all americans.

KEEP IT UP! DONT GIVE UP!

IT IS A MUST FOR AMERICA TO KNOW WHO THIS BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA IS.

Palin was being kind to the AP opinionator who published his opinions as "analysis". He is just another Obama fanatic that has infiltrated the AP for the purpose of countering opposition comments. Did you ever notice that the AP has a "million of ''em". These names pop up attached to a story and then for most you never see hide nor hair of them again. Sort of like Baghdad insurgents. Anyway, the Ayers matter, the pastor matter, the Rezko matter, the Saudi contributors to Obama''s educational expenses, his multiple citizenships when growing up, his religious affiliation as a Muslim recorded at the Indonesian school he attended, the false statement on his Illinois bar registration (other names you have gone by now or in the past: NONE), and the reluctance of his campaign to release his school records and LSAT scores (he is represented by his campaign as some sort of high minded intellectual, yet he refuses to offer substantiation). All of these are valid issues that need to be explored before the country makes the mistake of electing this man in the absence of important information that the MSM refuses to provide. It is not surprising that the Obama insurgents in the press are starting to talk about racial overtones. That, afterall, is the David Axelrod game plan to keep the media in line.

Obama has tried to brush aside his terrorist connection with his false pretenses about real issues-- healthcare, economy. He could are less about them anyway.

All he wants is to be elected as Pres.
Character has to take precedence over any issues becasue without character you''re an empty suit.

Charlie,

He''s not getting away with anything. The MSM is not the endall in their bias.

Palin has taken the gloves off... and, by God, that mask of Obama''s is coming off.

The MSM won''t be able to stop it.

Oh, we''re praying on Main Street.

There are greater hands than the MSM''s that are going to pull the mask off Obama.

If he wants to say he''s a Christian and make that part of his political appeal... then here come the hands to take the mask off.

He said Jesus Christ isn''t the only way of salvation.

If he wants to be a New Age Humanist - that''s his choice. But it''s not his right to hide behind a multiple amount of masks as a two-faced, lying crooked politician who would sell out Jesus Christ and pretend to be a friend of Jesus to try to win an election.

JUDAS.

The mask is coming off. America has a right to know what he stands for and what he believes and who is friends are.

The mask is coming off.

Go get him, Governor Palin!!

America needs to see what''s behind the mask.

Take the gloves off and pull the mask off Obama!!

God bless America. God''s bigger than the MSM - believe it or not you new age humanists.

An apology would not wash. If by some miracle, McCain does win the WH, he will be fighting the Democratic Congress for the four years of his term because of tactics like this. He would have poisoned the well.

He''s a radical leftist. I''m in Michigan. We need jobs. We don''t need a radical leftist to drive the rest of the jobs out of our state.

He says he wants to create all these programs.

Why? Cuz he really is as left as Ayers.

Nothing he says or does shows him to be anything but radically left, socialist, and communist, so it''s not surprising that he has this association with Ayers.

Yes, it does matter to Main Street - even if you think it''s not an "issue".

IT IS AN ISSUE!!

It''s huge - and the reality of the mask coming off so America can see how left he really is is going to lose him this election.

Go Governor Palin!! Keep telling America the truth the MSM doesn''t report with the true facts...and is found only on blogs.

I wouldn''t be sitting here as a person in Michigan really, really concerned about Obama... if he had positional stands like Hillary Clinton.

I wouldn''t be spending my time or even be this concerned, thanks.

I''m not a troll.

I''m Main Street.

I''m a Christian.

And I''m really concerned for the future of America.

Obama is a dangerous person with extremely left ideology, voting record, and associations that are radical and terrorist.

As an American, that really concerns me. I''m in financial services - and I''ve seen America get hurt by Obama-ites and Democrats.

Literally, 2 months ago a guy at work told me when I said we needed to give Obama a chance, that people said the same thing about Hitler.

I was appalled at him and thought he was "out there".

THEN, I started reading about Obama in the last month.

I went back and told him that if ever there was a man who posed a threat of a totalitarian dictator... in the US... it''s Obama.

I don''t care how strange it sounds. I read up and I saw the will.i.am videos and other videos of people worshipping Obama and him claiming to be "the One".

This guy is NPD and radically left... and I told the guy at work... he really had a point there.

I didn''t think any of this listening to the MSM. Nope. Got to find the facts on blogs... because this guy is so out there...and the MSM just doesn''t report or investigate or tell the facts of the matter.

They just repeate Obama''s lies.

The MSM has fallen under the spell of someone who asks people to worship him as God and presents himself as "the One".

He did it to himself!! That isn''t anyone else''s idea. He wanted to be worshipped.

Yeah, so did Hitler.

He is WAY OUT and way too radical to be considered for President.

He''s nuts if you ask me -asking people to worship him... and I''m just shaking my head that people would even consider voting for a God wanna be.

I have no idea where Obama comes from or where he really stands. He talks real purty but short on action. Should he get elected what will he be running for then Dictator of America. It is time for Biden and Obama to take off the gloves. This is not the time to be gentlemanly - tell it like it is. Palin is all smoke and mirrors. She needs to be sent home with her tail between her legs to raise the handicapped child she was so anxious to give birth to. So far, from what I''ve observed, everytime she holds him she acts like he is burning her hands and she can''t wait to hand him off to her oldest daughter.

Palin is a light-weight and everyone is so afraid of being accused of sexism that they are giving her free reign. If she wants to swim with the sharks, then she needs to have weapons other than spunk, cute and a voice that would cut glass.

POW McCain performed propaganda for the communists. He did it himself, although it was treason. That''s real. Palin is repeating the big lie, hoping the rubes wont be able to tell the difference. In real life, Alaskan Republicans began a lawsuit against Palin to make her stop using Yahoo to avoid state required freedom of information requests, and to make her stop using a system with no SECURITY and no backups. Cheney claims he ''lost'' the Iraq war emails. Palin is doing the same lame trick.
Alaskans are suing her for her crimes against the state. That''s real. Obama was 8 years old when Ayers was famous. Ayers has a EdD now and is a big player in the Chicago education scene and no one, not even the mayor of Chicago can avoid that. Ayers raised $49 million in grants for Chicago. He worked with the Chicago mayor. He is not some nobody. Palin is counting on the farm hands not reading the New York Times article she referenced. The Times says, there is NO association with Obama and Ayers. She ignores that part of the story.

Star,

McCain and Palin don''t vote like communists. Obama does. It''s Obama''s voting record that gives legitimacy to the communist associations.

Plus, he wants to institute all these socialist programs that he calls "fairness".

What''s fair to Obama?? Communism.

I would never be concerned that McCain or Palin were communists. Their voting record isn''t communist.

Obama has the most left voting record in the Senate.

Obama being a radical leftist communist is proven a legitimate concern by his voting record, his plans for social programs, and that''s just who Obama really is, imo.

There''s no reason to think that either McCain or Palin would be communist. But Obama''s record bears it out.

Plus all his lying. He''s a propaganda machine.

Plus his fascist effort to have Missouri prosecutors and sherriffs intimidate Missouri citizens with "ethics law violations" - like the cops are going to knock on their doors and they are going to be prosecuted - for saying Obama is not a Christian.

His "Truth Squad" being so fascist on television - well that''s just what a fascist communist socialist totalitarian totally left radical dictator wannabe would do.

He tried to silence and intimidate Stanley Kurtz from speaking out about him.

No one is "picking on" Obama. All the things that we are concerned about he has done himself.

He''s why we''re so scared he''s radically left, fascist and has no regard for our civil rights.

Hey Barbara,

Yeah, let Obama slam Palin for being a mother like she should go raise her children. That''ll just fire up women voters more and get more women voting for her.

If they attack her for being a woman and a mother like a woman''s place is in the home... women will swing so far to the McCain/Palin ticket... they''ll lose votes.

So, let "take the gloves off". Palin can shoot right back at them, anyway.

You nitwits had your chance for the last 8 years and look how you messed things up. Move out of the way and let some folks get to work who actually CARE about this country.

Wow! You can smell the desperation of the Repubs as they fall further and further behind; or is that the stench of Sarah as she rises from her latest decent into the sewer?

slander.
Rush Limbaugh
That''s the key on this as it goes forward, is to always characterize Ayers as "unrepentant".

Sarah Palin is totally off base. She is doing exactly what she did in Alaska they will investigate and show that her loose mouth spits lies and falseness about things. she is one sick puppy. I would not even trust here opinion about a baby carriage. She tells emphatic lies and she must be stopped at all costs.

She is a Cheney clone, mean as a snake, and wants this even if Mc Same gets in the way, what a doofus. We are not in enough trouble in this country, Mc Same finds her. Shows you how much sense he has.

O''Bama is a Muslim. He hates Christians. They are taught this in the Koran. O''Bama has a brother who lives in Africa. O''Bama;s brother is very poor. He survives on a daily basis. O"Bama will not help his own brother. If he won''t help his own brother, what do you suppose he will do for the American people?? He wants to control the United States. He wants to destroy us and have us live very poor and die. He doesn''t care about any of us. A vote for O''Bama is a vote for death. O''Bama is very DANGEROUS. Don''t vote for him, or we will all suffer deeply. Think about what I have said here. O.Bama a muslim, hates the United States and the people in it. Don''t vote for O''Bama or you will suffer under the hand of O''Bama

Do you wanna live in a nation where we are forced to worship Obama and say he''s "the One"... or our neighbors (part of the "Truth Squad") will report us to the police and prosecutors who are also part of the "Truth Squad"??

How do you know that this guy isn''t NPD crazy enough to go there??

He''s a freak.

This guy is nuts. He''s not a normal person. He says he''s going to heal the planet and turn back the tides of the ocean.

He has people worship him.

Hitler thought he was "the One", too.

Hello. Earth to America. This guy is a freak.

Posted by obbcbs,

How true. The only reason the GOP is using the smear game at this point is they are desparate! They know if the election stays focused on the economy they have no chance of winning.

The important point is has McCain offered any further details about his plan or does he want to talk about his voting record?

The answer is no and they are starting the mudslinging because they are out of options.

Unfortunately, the GOP has fooled some people but if they want to talk trash, lets talk about troopergate, the Keating Five and the voting record in support of Bush.

Palin''s current tactics were learned in her year''s as a beauty pageant contestant. "Love your dress...hope you place." The McSame lemmings will stop at nothing to smear Obama. How sad that the issues are overshadowed by McSame''s lies, lies, lies. Thank you Mr. Schmidt!

We must all remember WHO''s husband was a card carrying member of Alaska''s secessionist movement.

Desparado!
