Palin Says She Wants To Talk About Issues, Adds That Obama Pals With A Terrorist

(CBS)
From CBS News' Scott Conroy:

(CARSON, Calif.) At a rare October rally in this solidly blue state, Sarah Palin alluded to her recent interview with CBS News’ Katie Couric, calling it “not too successful” and adding that Couric asked her questions that made her think, ‘C’mon, let’s start talking to the American people about the issues you guys want to know about.’”

Palin said that if she had her druthers, she would have rather told Couric about her plans for reform, putting government on the side of the people, and winning the wars. Then she promptly transitioned into attacking Barack Obama for his relationship with William Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground movement in the 1960s. Palin mentioned a story about the relationship that appeared in Saturday’s New York Times, which the Obama campaign says actually showed the relationship between Obama and Ayers added up to far less than a friendship.

“Our opponent is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to pal around with terrorists who target their own country,” Palin said.

The Republican VP nominee also hit Obama for saying he’d cut taxes for 95 percent of Americans, calling the Democrat’s vow “the phoniest claim in a campaign that has been full of them.”

Palin regaled the cheering crowd with a story about how she was reading her Starbucks mocha cup yesterday, which featured a quotation from former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

“Now she said it, I didn’t,” Palin said of Albright. “She said, ‘There’s a place in Hell reserved for women who don’t support other women.’”

The crowd roared its approval, but according to several sources, Albright actually said, “there’s a place in Hell reserved for women who don’t help other women.”

“OK, now thank you so much for receiving that well—I didn’t know how that was going to go over,” Palin told the southern California crowd. “And now California, let’s see what a comment that I just made how that is turned into whatever it’ll be turned into tomorrow in the newspaper.”

Obama and Ayers did in fact work together on the Annenburg project. A 50 million dollar project in which money was given to help slums. It is believed that this is where Tony Rezko comes into Obama''s life. The Chicago Library holds the books of the failed, failed, Annenburg project.

Sarah Palin is a sociopathic, lying sack of ****. Nothing that comes out of her mouth is true. Nothing. She is a perfect fit for her ancient twin, old lying Johnnie boy. These idiotst can''t talk about issues because they can''t even define "victory" in Iraq, much less come up with any real solutions to health care or the economy. All they can do is vomit up their memorized talking points like not particularly bright parrots. They are way too stupid to get to the White House, although there are plenty of righties who are even stupider who will vote for them anyway.

I''m no fan of McCain, Obama or Palin, but I must say Obama has somehow throughout his life always had either contact or associations with people who openly state they hate America. It makes me nervous.

Bill Ayers and a Barack Obama connection.

Chicago has a tradition for bomb makers beginning with the Haymarket affair bomb that killed 7 police officers in 1886. The bomb was thrown during a May Day rally for striking workers. There is a statue in Haymarket Square marking the place of the bombings.

A Chicago native the Unabomber is now serving a life sentence at SuperMax Federal Penitentiary in Florence Colorado for killing three people with mail bombs. The Unabomber Ted Kazinski grew up in the Chicago area, graduated from Harvard University before getting his PhD in mathematics from the University of Michigan, and then taught at U.C. at Berkley. The Unabomber received his moniker by targeting universities and airlines. Ted Kazinski later targeted professors at Northwestern University in Chicago and a United Airlines President with his bomb packages.

Bill Ayers the Weatherman bomb maker is two years younger than Ted Kaczynski the Unabomber, but both have Chicago connections and both received degrees from the University of Michigan about the same time. Bill Ayers received an undergraduate degree in American studies and Ted Kazinski received his Phd in mathematics from the University of Michigan a year earlier than Bill Ayers%u2019s undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. Bill Ayers went on to get his Masters in teaching at Columbia in 1987.

Hey, Sarah... word up... I DO care to know what Supreme Court cases you disagree with. You can''t excuse your completely clueless answers that way. I also resent someone who is a total poser, and can only parrot the dozen lines they''ve been taught, spewing disgusting lies about another candidate. Lady, you have a low approval rating among Americans on a whole, including women. And you have ethical issues back in your own home state. Not to mention some questionable policies such as charging rape victims for their own forensic rape kits. She didn''t even answer the questions at the debate... she had to revert back to her notecards to recite some unrelated nonsense. Palin is starting to believe her own hype -- her ego is out of control.

First, this is not new. The only thing new is the person (Palin) spewing this nonsense. All news organizations are doing is giving free advertising. Moreover, glass houses is correct. I don''t know how anyone can defy a subpeona without being thrown in jail? This is unheard of. NY times came out with an article that elucidated this issue, it was a very good article that no one reads, instead people get their news from this over bubbly incomprehensible hockey mom, who doesn''t know anything about american history and government.

Isn''t her husband, Todd Palin, a terrorist? He wanted to separate Alaska from U.S.A.

She gave speeches to the terrorist group saying how she feels about their mission.

The McCain camp is like...''It''s October lets throw everything including fabricated lies to Barack and hope it sticks''

Here is my question:
Why doesn''t McCain-Palin have an Economic Plan?

The plan they have is exactly similar to what we had for the last 8 year.

If they come up with a better plan for he economy than Barack, then they might win me over ... better yet, they might win my entire family over.

We are on Barack''s side because he is the only one focusing on the critical issues facing America and our family. He''s got a plan.

Where''s McCain/Palin (other than bulling)?

Sarah Palin doesn''t know the first thing about supporting other women. She doesn''t even support abortion for victims of rape or incest. She supported charging victims of rape for rape kits. She is a disgrace to the female gender. She will set women''s rights back 50 years.

Here''s my question to Palin. Why won''t you do interviews? Are you afraid of something - perhaps that your husbands connection to an anti-American group will be discussed? Don''t question Obama''s connect to Ayers when you won''t discuss your own husband''s secessionist views.

And I think trying to cecede from the US is a terriorist activity on Palin and her husband....so she should NOT be throwing stones and trying to create FALSE rumors about Sen. Obama.....after all, one day she will have to hail him as her President. So down girl!!

I am far more concerned about Sarah Palin taking away our personal freedoms. Here in Alaska, as a community activist, Palin tried to force creationism into public schools (failed). As a Mayor she tried to force censorship on the local library (failed) and then tried to fire the librarian who resisted (failed). As a Governor, Palin invited the Alaska Legislature to place an abortion bill on her desk completely prohibiting abortions including cases of rape and incest. As Governor she now faces a consitutional crisis over Troopergate in Alaska, where she has already abused her power. Now Palin says she admires *** Cheney and wants to expand the powers of the Vice President. Palin is far more dangerous to our constitutional rights than some worn out protestor.

Do McCain and Palin know nothing except LIES and DISTORTIONS?

McCain has gone over to the "Dark Side". His campaign is so far from "Straight Talk" that there is no hope of finding their way back. It''s now "All LIES and DISTORTIONS, all of the time."

The McCain "LIE, LIE, LIE EXPRESS". Geez John. We know your campaign is now being run by ROVE hit men. Just give it up if you cannot muster even a little remaining HONOR.

Amen. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. It is much more dangerous than a depth of knowledge. Palin has a little knowledge, and thinks she is smart and informed enough to be President. That kind of HUBRIS is the most dangerous kind.

Palin HUBRIS will result in her thinking one day that a nuclear war with Russia is "a possibly good thing", or that the Constitution "needs some fixin''",

This woman is the scariest thing ever to crawl out of the deep recesses of the Republican Party.

The fact of their association and close working relationship, plus the fact that Obama launched his political career with Ayers'' help justifies the characterization of "palling around." Their relationship is much closer than what is given the the main stream media. Palin is right to bring out these associations. The truth is that Obama''s past relationships have a dark side, like his association with Rizzo, a convicted criminal.

She can''t answer interview questions OR debate questions! There were one or two questions proffered by the moderator that Palin actually answered, however most of the time she had her own agenda, the questions be damned. It would have been funny if it wasn''t our country on the line.
As far as Ayers, everyone has skeletons in their closets including Palin so frankly, so none of them should be throwing any stones. Especially not McCain. He can''t even close the closet door anymore there''s so many!
In regard to her notion about the quote of Madeline Albright, I guess I''ll be seeing Sarah in hell.

Where have you been ? The media has told us about this many times over the last year or so, as has Obama himself. The media has also investigated the claims of Obama opponents that Obama and Ayers have been close friends and have determined that is not true. They served on a couple boards together and live in the same neighborhood. Ayers is now a college professor, has written or edited 15 books, is interested in educational reform, and is well-regarded in his community (e.g., quotes from Mayor Richard Daley) - see the recent article by Scott Shane in the New York Times.
