Rapper Ludacris Hypes Obama, Knocks McCain

Grammy Award-winning rapper Ludacris has released a new song called "Politics: Obama is Here", in which he disparages Hillary Clinton, Jesse Jackson and John McCain but has nothing but praise for Barack Obama, whom he asks to make him his vice president or give him "a special pardon if I'm ever in the slammer."

Ludacris, who has clashed with Fox News' Bill O'Reilly and Oprah Winfrey in the past, uses some irreverent language in the new song and encourages black Americans to propel Obama to victory and "paint the White House black."

The rapper saves some of his harshest critiques for McCain: "McCain don't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed."

Update: The Politico's Ben Smith reports the Obama campaign has condemned the Ludacris song.

"As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to," said spokesman Bill Burton. "This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics."

Very nice. I know Ubama has this assclown in his iPod. Whitey''s gonna pay.....is that the idea.

What a huge ''talent'' this loser is. No wonder Ubama loves him.

You failed to mention the part that Ludacris called Hillary a
b*&%$. Low-class guttersnipe. Why does Obama listen to this type of trash?

THANK YOU LUDACIRS! My friends have all been discussing how your type has been on their best behavior to help Obama--BUT YOU JUST COULDN''T HOLD IT IN ANYMORE! This might scare just enough white Americans to but McCain over the top!

This song is totally inappropriate and does not reflect the views of Obama or his other many supporters.

I believe Obama''s condemnation about as much as I believe anything else Obama says....He played JZ''s "I got 99 problems and b***h ain''t one ''em" at his rallies...
Newsflash! Obama will say anything to anyone when it''s expedient.

Oh well, Typical White People will all wake up eventually and choose not to vote for the Fraud....
there just aren''t enough hate filled AAs and kids in America to elect him.

Unbelievable. Let white American punish with situations like Don Imus but let''s turn a head to the distasteful disgrace that Ludicris brings to the table. This Obama fellow just keeps getting worse and worse by association. If you want to understand someone, look at their friends and associates.

Luadcris is a rapper and his job is to entertain, if any one takes his song out of context and try to apply them to any individual we truly are a shallow nation. First admendment right the right to free speech.

This song was purely made to cause controversy but I dont think he realized how bad this makes black americans look and Senator Obama cause White peole are sensitive and truely afraid of the idea of a black president.

News flash if Senator Obama becomes president he wouldnt be the first Mullotto President. We have a total of six recoreded but well hidden identies of black presidents in our history. I am black and I dont want a black white house keep as it is.

Any rapper or entertainer dose not represent the whole African American hispora. I dont like the lyrics they where inappropiate and in poor taste.

Its all entertainment people, pure entertainment.

Senator Obama for president 2008.

The double standard is just unbelievable. Any disparaging remarks by anyone in the McCain camp is screamed across all headlines. Something as outrageous as this is relegated to a hardly-read blog.

Obama will never get my vote because he''s a fake and a phony. He can fool the 18 year olds first time voters, however, we "old" democrats can see right through him. Sexism is alive and well in Obama''s campsite

erichsh, I didn''t realize that Ludacris was a member of the Obama campaign staff.

Since he''s not, you''re point is completely wrong and assbackwards...Besides, I seem to remember days and days of nonstop coverage over people who WERE connected in some way w/Obama, like the Wesley Clark, the Rev. Wright, etc.

THIS story, however, deserves to be buried in a blog, since there''s no connection whatsoever between Obama and Ludicris. Unless you happen to think that all black people know each other.

If the KKK endorsed John McCain, I would expect THAT to be buried in a blog too.

So stop whining about a big nothing.

Obama may condemn the rapper, but it a double play....He recently praised rappers saying they can change the world...Into what? Into a garbage heap. While condemning the rappers lyrics, the Obama camp secretly supports this kind of behavior..anything to distract the people and making it look like he can take a stand on an ethical note.
How can he condemn the rapper when not too long ago his opening act included a comedian that uses the word "HO" to describe his wife...
There''s the "HIGH ROAD" presidential material the DNC is looking for...
If a white group had done what this *** rapper had...the whole world would have been whining about racism. But He''s black and so is the rapper, so it''s OK? Everything is s double standard with Obama... What we have here folks is reverse racism at it''s finest! And it''s name is Obamism.

personnaly I felt every word "LUDA" had to say. Bush is basically a ***!! McCain is not fit to run in a race for cancer cure let alone run the whole country. Hillary well she kind of is an irrelevant B!tch. she fought a good fight but in the end you see who is triumphant. OBAMA!!! Jesse , well enough said!! okay maybe a little, hell he could not even run his own race long enough to give us blacks hope. he spent more time on his rainbow coalittion than his campaign. we know who the next president of the united states is going to be, so deal with it. like it or not it is going to be a black man. bring our troops home, stop this useless war, bring gas back down to a reasonable price and for goodness sake IT WAS JUST A SONG!!! you seem to forget WE do have the FREEDOM of SPEECH. if BUSH was so good we would not be in the mess we are in (9/11, Iraq, Gas prices, **** poor economy and high unemployment). Let the Democrates fix the Republicans mess as usual. it would be nice if HRC were in office, hell even if Bill got back in, as long as it is not another a-- kissing republican. the country could not stand another in office.

people listen....Obama is not the bad guy...Ludacris is not the bad guy....The song aint even as Bad as you are trying to make it...Freedom of speech means freedom to self expression...ok we get it you don''t like Obama, Ludicris, rappers hell even Blacks. but we are here to stay. This is not your country, it is ours (yours and mine), vote for who you want, don''t vote, it is not just your choice. If the votes are counted correctly this time the people will ahve had their say. No song, no speech, no personal affiliation, or public debate will matter. Just the number of vote one has over the other. can we talk about something else? how about the armed services covering up murders and rapes? Think people, it is just a song.

When I read some of these pathetic comments, I want to vomit. Blurting out "freedom of speech" is an excuse to ignore the obvious. Yes, this is America and we do have freedom of speech and should have. HOWEVER- DO NOT forget, what we live, sing about, speak about, etc. speaks volumes about the person. This rapper is a racist, bigot, and with little or no morales or values. Yes, there is the freedom of speech, but to refer to women as hoes-***-etc. and some of the vile things this rapper says- tells us both who he is, and who Obama is for supporting him. Anything for money is the underlying theme I get.

Its funny to see how pissed people get with rap, but when it comes to other types of music in which shares the same "parental advisory" label on their CD''s. Theres not a single peep about it in the media. So Ill make it very clear for you "mike3349" and everyone else. If you dont like it then dont listen to it! I dont like what the KKK has to say so guess what I DONT LISTEN to anything they have to say! And no matter if I like it or not, negative comments are protected by the freedom of speech, its not an excuse its a right. OH! I almost forgot, Ludacris isnt a racist, his strongly supports Obama, and for that reason ONLY he was getting all of this *** from guess who? FOX news (who are the kings of Obama bashing). And for the record, not ALL rappers support Obama. Here are a few examples:

50cent-supported Hillary (Oh and by the way, 50cent uses way more harsher language then Ludacris, does this make him a racist? I dont think Hillary would agree)

Common-supports Obama

KanyeWest-supported both

"Its funny to see how pissed people get with rap ..."

Rap IS garbage.

;)

It''s the nadir of American "culture".

Any talentless toad can do it.

But it''s a testimony to the trash that buys into it ... that proves America has sunk to a new low.

It is high time that Americans and Politicians start paying more attention to what is more important and spend less energy on the 5-minute fascinations. Everything that happens does not need or deserve a comment. Some people just need their 15 minutes of fame even if they are already famous. That is just "their" nature, they still don''t understand "right place wrong time". America is in a serious state of economic demise and yet we have time to actually give energy and life to a 2-3 minute song. I would encourage each and every American and politician to wake up pay attention, stop getting side tracked and distracted and focus on the real issues. If you are lost in translation just look at the past 12 years. If anyone out there thinks that putting another leader in office who is more interested in war games and funding other countries legacies and terrorism via oil and keeping their own pockets fat with their investments of the American''s back, then I guess you will be a republican. America is in dire straits and can''t even maintain medical coverage or housing for the people and we are sitting here bickering about a song!!!!???? Distractions and frivolous short-comings aren''t serious enough to label someone as "not qualified" If all you are good at as a leader is "war" then that means our chances of coming out of this state of "economic oppression" are very much lost, there will be no country left just unpaid bills. WAKE UP!

I am 21 years old and I''ve never liked that idiot rapper. I am actually glad we''ve had so many amazing candidates this year a female and a black male but in my opinion some of the obama supporters have gone over board. Ludacris is exactly what , (i think it was) Mrs. Laura who said that he is a thug. He is disgusting and as far as I''m concerned pathetic and far from talented. If it wasn''t for the WHITE people that he is degrading in this song he never would have became the so-called ARTIST that he is. and if it weren''t for our Veteran''s like Senator McCain he wouldn''t have many of the freedoms that he, and everyone else in this amazing country have! I agree with Mr. O''Reilly any other country and this untalented "rapper" would''ve been killed!

You know what, you just made a pretty *** racist remark with that last comment. WHITE people didnt get Ludacris into the music industry, WHITE people werent the only ones to helped give him the freedom of speech. All of this took the effort of ALL cultures! Do you honestly believe that black people are the only people who buy''s his CD''s!!! Whites, Blacks, Asians, Hispanics ALL buys this mans CD''s, wanna know why? BECAUSE THEY LIKE HIS MUSIC!!!! So before you start trying to make it into a "WHITE" thing, make sure you got your facts right kid.

He''s sitting in his mansion, making millions of dollars off of on non-sense(his music) and somehow he takes this presidental election and try to get some fame off of it!! Ludacris grow up!! There are people out here that needs obama help, and your just messing up by slandering the others!! This is not about being black or white, it''s about americans screaming for HELP!!!

I am made that Obama hasn''t said anything about this personally, like it has not importance. Also I am made at the main stream media because no one is talking about this, I watched CNN all day and fox news just barley said anything about it. It just proved what you have been saying all along, the media is not being impartial in this election.

Where is this country going with people wanting to vote for a man who continuosly shows no respect for the U.S. flag or it''s troops. This song to me shows that many in the black community are pro Obama only because of his skin color. Now tell me how is that change America can believe in?

Country music outsells all other music combined.

The reason people listen to this filth is because it''s all they know.
Six, seven generations of welfare, drug dealing and gang-banging, and no father figures, has created this sick and perverted sub-culture which believes that the way to overcome is to be more violent, both in word and deed.

Anyone who calls this *** music is as uneducated (Or as evil) as the thugs that spew it.

Song began as a way of lifting our eyes towards the heavens and giving thanks... But these people would clearly rather praise the darkest most depraved elements of our crumbling society.

Good job people!
