McCain Web Ad Mocks Media's "Obama Love"

John McCain used to joke that the media was his political base, but now his campaign is using humor to suggest that the same crowd that was once wowed by the witty senator's "straight talk" is now in the tank for his opponent.

A new web ad called "Obama Love" strings together a series of clips featuring prominent TV journalists, including some that delve into the personal impact the Obama phenomenon has had on them. The ad takes particular aim at MSNBC's Chris Matthews, highlighting his description of a "thrill going up my leg" as he listened to an Obama speech.

Suggestions that Obama has been getting preferentially treatment from the media are not new, but the accusation has intensified during the Illinois senator's foreign trip, which is drawing enormous media attention, including one-on-one interviews with all three network news anchors.

The McCain campaign is advertising a contest on its web site that allows users to "pick the best song" to capture the media's alleged love affair with Obama.

Meanwhile, the conservative independent group Citizens United went on the cable airwaves on Monday with an ad that features conservative commentators arguing that the media swoons for the Illinois senator. The group plans to release a film in September called "Hype: The Obama Effect."

Watch the McCain web ad "Obama Love" below:

I''m a fan of all the Obama love coming from the media. 236.com had a really funny comment on how even the people on McCain''s campaign must adore Barack. The whole feature is actually great-- http://www.236.com/news/2008/07/24/if_they_imd_barack_obama_and_t_2_7906.php.

McCain''''s base at CBS showed some McCain love by re-editing an interview between the Senator and Katie Couric to make it look like McCain didn''''t blunder some basic facts about the surge.
---------

This is why I am done with CBS news. Couric and company should be fired for their "cut and paste" journalism.

There were no Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq. Saddam Hussein didn%u2019t have Nuclear or active Chemical Weapons and viable delivery systems. Hussein didn%u2019t even have one aircraft after the first Gulf War.

The McCain/Bush plan has been:

Create a false need to invade Iraq.

Don%u2019t send enough Troops to secure the entire population.

Don%u2019t provide the necessary protective equipment.

Disband the Iraqis Military forcing them into armed rebellion.

Don%u2019t use Iraqis to rebuild their own country and use foreign contractors instead
leaving everyone unemployed with nothing but time to fight the occupation.

Mismanage $Billions in Federal Treasury Funds, and deliver funding to the insurgency.

Drop the number, or over extend the US forces ability to maintain troop levels.
Then, implement an increase or %u201CTHE SURGE%u201D of Troop levels 5 years after the original occupation began.

Call for a successful VICTORY when told to leave by Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki.

Thus, it has been: create a problem, broaden the problem, implement a fix and then call it a success?

And, the American People are strapped with a devalued $dollar, higher Energy Prices, and $1Trillion Dollars in debt.

Victory?

Obama is the teacher saying to the world all my students did not fly into the World Trade Center, and the Pentagon! This is Obama''''s plan, legacy, and shows his charisma as well. First, all he is is a black teacher at law school. That''''s what he is using. Traditionally, when I think of a black professor, I think of someone who knows the laws dealing with "minorities" over everything else. I mean that''''s what they are best at, what they like dealing with, and what is expected of them by their students. So, here comes along Obama with that label. Minorities such as radical extreme Islamist groups can use this fatherly protection against the United States to come in and learn how to fly planes for example. Obama is keeping his fingers crossed when he talks to the heads of countries such as Palestine, Iraq, and Jordan. It might work in the short term for the terrorists. Maybe they want to see what they can get. Thus, unintentionally or intentionally Obama is telling countries such as these that maybe he wants to send American troops to Afghanistan to kill them like over 10,000 Russians were killed there. That''''s Barack Obama''''s plan, legacy, and secret. That''''s why I''''m begging you to vote for John McCain. John has the experience to get things done. God Bless Senator John McCain, our troops, and the USA

The reason many Democratic supporters will not vote for Obama is because they are embarrassed of him, his life, his unfair tactics and his beliefs. And they still don''t know all about him.

1. They don''t want a candidate that has been in a twenty year relationship with Reverend Wright and the Trinity United Church of Christ.

2. They don%u2019t%u2019 want a candidate that has a twenty year relationship with Father Pflaeger as his compass in life

3. They don%u2019t want a candidate that went to a church that supports Louis Farrakhan, an anti Semitic racist.

4. They don''t want to defend Black Liberation theology.

5. They don%u2019t want a candidate that lies about his relationship with Tony Rezko, the Syrian Criminal that sold his property to Obama and supported his campaign.

6. They don''t want a candidate that could work with a domestic terrorist, William Ayers.

7. They don%u2019t want a candidate that Hamas supports.

8. They don%u2019t want a candidate that Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam support

9. They don%u2019t want a candidate that has a wife that has just now realized she was proud of our country.

10. They don%u2019t want a candidate that denies Florida and Michigan their voices

11. They don%u2019t want a candidate that mentions 57 states in his speeches. 50 states in the USA and 57 states in the Nation of Islam (IOC website)

12. They don%u2019t want a candidate that fights unfair and steals Michigan delegate votes from his opponent.

13. They don''t want a candidate that is inexperienced, especially dealing with military issues.

14. They don%u2019t want a candidate that considers it a loss to not to be able to attend his anti American, racist Church.

15. They don%u2019t want a candidate that has a %u201Cnon practicing%u201D Muslim father, but avoids the entire discussion of his father.

16. They don%u2019t%u2019 want a candidate that won%u2019t debate

17. They don%u2019t%u2019 want a candidate that misleads the youth with an %u2018Obama girl and her behind in their face%u201D

18. They don%u2019t want a candidate that says he%u2019s an African American and missed the MLK Remembrance Day and the Louisiana Black Caucus meeting

19. They don%u2019t want a candidate that enjoys laughing at sexism

20. They don''t want a candidate that switches his position on gun control, FISA, the war in Iraq, religion and government....

24. He is embarrassing.

25. He scares them to death.

Obama is scary, risky and should step down, regardless if the media thinks he''s the messiah.

This man is an embarrassment.

Americans are beginning to notice his coverage and they don''t like it.
If you look at the daily numbers the past two weeks, you''ll notice Obama''s six-point edge has disappeared.

How is this happening with all the slavish attention for Obama''s world tour?

The American people are not as crazy and don''t make money from his speeches as the media does.

Well, it could be people are so turned off by the fawning coverage of Obama, which has gotten so ridiculous in recent days to the point where even the leftist media is noticing how out of control it is.

I was uttering disgusted to read on several newsblogs this evening that CBS News w/ Katie Couric, deliberately falsified an interview with Senator John McCain by editing out a damaging mistake of his regarding the timeline of surge "success" in Iraq.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/07/22/mccain-gets-history-of-th_n_114419.html

So who is really getting and giving preferential treatment here? Uh, CBS to John McCain!

CBS and the MSM are not the rightful gatekeepers for ANY Presidential candidate. We, as audience members, need to keep them accountable because the corporate news hawks certainly won''t police themselves.

%u201CNBC%u2019s chief foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell spoke on Hardball last night and made some acute observations during an appearance on Hardball with Chris Matthews.

%u201CYou%u2019re seeing selected pictures taken by the military, questions by the military and what some would call fake interviews because they%u2019re not interviews from a journalist,%u201D she said. %u201CPolitically, it%u2019s smart as can be, but we have not seen a presidential candidate do this, in my recollection, ever before.%u201D

When questioned by Matthews about some of the video from Obama%u2019s time in Iraq, Mitchell continued. %u201CI can%u2019t really say, being a reporter who was not present in any of those situations, I just can%u2019t report on what was edited out, what was on the sidelines,%u201D said Mitchell. %u201CWe don%u2019t know what we are seeing.%u201D

Poor John. Everytime he does get media attention, he screws up something, and then whines about negative coverage. There is a reason that the media and millions of Americans "love" Obama. He is such a breath of fresh air after the stink we have had to endure for almost eight years, that you just can''t get enough.

The reason the United States has a Democratic Republic is because historically Monarchs and Dictators have always exerted a pull on the wealth of their subjects. Somewhat like what the Bush/McCain Conservatives have attempted to do with the American People.

Remember that the only reason to have government is to support all the people through social programs. I don''t understand why we just don''t give Obama, a very smart and good person a chance.

The alternative is more of the same disastrous policies, lying, stealing and torture and fascist actions we have been enduring. Five out of six Europeans can''t be wrong.

Obama is not the second coming of the Messiah. Far, far from it. He is a very scary man. If he gets into office we can say goodbye to a Free Democratic United States of America. Socialism is his middle name. I''m a free thinking individual that won''t give up my rights to anyone who thinks he knows what''s better for me than I do. Obama is not "Change", he is not "Hope" is is the same old Politics As Ususal. -- Say anything to your face, make you feel good and then take away all the rights he can grab. Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid!!!
