New Ads From McCain, Clinton

John McCain has a new ad running in Iowa, "Leads," which opens with a shot of the two Democratic presidential rivals side by side.

"While Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama argue and fight with each other, John McCain leads," an announcer says as the spot opens.

The ad then continues as a positive McCain spot, spotlighting, among other things, his plan for a gas tax holiday. "John McCain: Leadership, not politics," the announcer says as the spot closes. The McCain campaign didn't officially release the spot, which we've embedded via Politico:

Hillary Clinton's campaign also released three new spots today. You can see the two Kentucky spots, "Partner" and "Right Track," here and here. The ad in Oregon, "What's Right," is below. It opens with a shot of pundits discussing the – ahem – horserace nature of political coverage.

"In Washington, they talk about who's up and who's down," an announcer says as the spot opens with shots of TV pundits. "In Oregon, we care about what's right and what's wrong."

McFlip-Flop will say whatever it takes to get elected. Just look at his new policy for removing troops from Iraq. McFlip said it would be surrender to move troops out -now he sets a time table. He sets a time table for at least 4 years because he would only serve 1 term as prez meaning he would not have to deliver on that promise. How many times has Bush thrown promises out there? The only thing Bush and his protege McSame are doing are moving the goal posts. It worked for Bush as president -so McFlop is using the same tactics. I don''''t think america will be fooled this time. The only thing McSame can promise is to continue the same failed Bush policies for another 4 years. The ironic thing is they both think they are right and that it is working -don''''t be fooled.

I just watched the ''Clinton'' ad -it''s not for getting votes, it''s to get donations to pay off her $20 million dollar debt. The first par is all wrong. Commentators are ''washington'' talking about the ups and downs? No wonder why that campaign failed.

McFlip-Flop''s ad is a tad off. The democrats are still in a nomination contest. McSame makes all of these promises without saying how to pay for them. Why? Because he can pretend like he doesn''t have to raise taxes then. McFlip wants to continue spending billions and soon trillionsof dollars on that mistake of a war in Iraq.

McCain''s ad is a little late, isn''t it? Hillary/Obama aren''t really bickering right now. I''m surprised you even bothered to mention her.

An obvious question for McCain has come to mind: if things DON''T improve by 2013, how much longer would he be willing to stay beyond that before he left? Or does he stick by his position that he''ll stay as long as it takes, even if it takes 100 years? So we can begin the 100 year occupation?

Obama-Mr. lefty liberal with all of his flip/flops and Wright are going to get clobbered in a general election. Democrats are stupid. Most of Clinton supporters are so disgusted with Obama, the media and rude Obama supporters -they are all ready to sign up with McCain as well.

Hillary "sniper-fire" Clinton continues with her losing campaign, and somebody wanted her debt paid off by Obama campaign.

I say let her out in the rain. She and Bill probably made too many promises to Kazakstan, China, and Taiwan, that they have to get in the White House one way or another. Let them out in the rain, hang them out to dry.

It would be an insult to our intelligence to suggest a 50/50 split or anything less than the delegates Hillary Clinton was given by the vote of the people.

We are well aware that Barack Obama went out of his way to remove his name from the Michigan ballet in an attempt to nullify our votes.

We are well aware that Obama contacted his campaign workers in Michigan and had them urge voters to mark the "none of the above" box on the ballet. He asked them to hold rallys and make radio announcements in an attempt to steal votes from Hillary Clinton.

We are aware that thousands of Hillary Clinton supporters did not even vote in response to being told their vote would not count.

I heard some very troubling news today...I read that the GOP have some very damaging material in their "ruin the democrat" play book that they plan to bring out in October. Apparently, they have some sort of video footage of Michelle obama talking in Rev. Wright''''s church about "whitey" (meaning the white folks). OMG...if this is true, us Democrats are screwed!! We seriously need to nominate Hillary while we still can. GOP is planning on Swift boating Obama like they did Kerry!!!! HELP

I am so glad that Senator Clinton has remained in the race. Today I saw Barack Obama blunder big time, when he said that he was ''surprised'' by President Bush''s remarks. For heaven''s sake. The GOP has a target on Obama''s chest and they have all kinds of ammunition to use against him, and he is SURPRISED????? Look how easily they got him to go negative!

Heaven help us if Barack Obama wins the nomination because McCain will win.

Why Aren''t we Complaining about Superdelegate Voter Abuse?

There is this nagging question to which I have still not been able to find a satisfactory answer: Why are the superdelegates being allowed to declare their votes prior to the time that they actually are authorized to vote?
Has this happened before in previous primaries? I don%u2019t remember it being this blatant, if it did. Apparently not, according to CNN.com.

The reason I ask is, isn%u2019t this %u201Cvoter abuse%u201D in the sense that since the superdelegates are the %u201CElectoral College%u201D of the DNC, should they be allowed to influence the primary process long before it is over?

Shouldn''t Howard Dean be saying %u201CWe want the people to be able to vote uninfluenced by the superdelegates, so any superdelegate who declares their vote prior to the time they are authorized to vote, will be penalized by being removed as a superdelegate and a substitute superdelegate will be appointed.%u201D

I am more than a little amazed that we accept this manipulation by the superdelegates as if it is standard operating procedure. Is it? If it is, it is time to change it for the sake of the voters.

This seems to be a pattern with Obama. He does something wrong and then he does the ''''hangdog'''' Sorry Act.

Twenty years with Reverend Wright?

Sorry.

Mrs. Tony Rezko land deal where the Obamas got way more than they paid for when they bought their ritzy home.

Sorry. It was a ''boneheaded'' thing to do.

Said he''d meet with every head of state, which includes the terrorist ones without preconditions? Now he''s flip flopping and says there would be preconditions.....

Oh great, PLEASE NOT another flip flopper on the Democratic ticket.

Calls an adult professional woman Sweetie? That insults women everywhere. I''m NOT his sweetie.

Sorry!

Sorry!

Sorry!!

Sorry!

Super delegates and primary voters: Vote for Clinton so we can fix this Democratic train wreck before we are SORRY IN NOVEMBER!

92% of the Blacks vote for Obama and that''s not racist.

55% of the Whites vote for Clinton and thats racist.

Michelle and Obama whine when the going gets rough.

They constantly remind us about how Obama is going to save the world and how only Obama can do that.

The White media is constantly kissing his Black Azz.

Even the Democratic Leadership gives them every break you can think of.

My disqust is turning to nauseousness.
How much more of this can a reasonable person take???

Why lil'' missy and grandpa would waste more money on more Ads is indicative of two candidates who are pipe dreaming about over-coming the Obama Shuffle. lil'' missy and grandpa should just come to their senses and get out while they are still standing, because the Obama Shuffle will steamroll them otherwise.

Powder-puff Hillary + Grandpa McCain = soft, weak and lame opponents.

I can prove that the Republicans are making fools out of the Blacks.

The stuff that Obama admitted to in the two books he

wrote is enough to lose him the election. But has

anyone heard anything about either of these writings

by a major National Television Station????

NO! Because they are setting on it until Hillary is

out of the picture and Obama will lose the Presidency

by the largest margine yet. And anyone who can''''t

see that and continues to believe otherwise after

reading those two books are being FOOLISH!!!!

NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY BY THE DNC

Action speaks louder than words. I was on another

web site last night and the Hillary supporters were

talking about REGISTERING AS REPUBLICANS AND NOT

COMING BACK TO THE PARTY UNTIL HILLARY GETS THE

NOMINATION.

This way it would be harder for the DNC to just

brush us off by saying we''ll eventually all rally

around Obama......No Way, Nobama!

I''m going tomorrow and register as a Republican. If

you''re not already registered as a Democrat, you can

first register as a Democrat and a day or two later,

register as a Republican. It will show up as a lost

member on the Democratic Membership Roll by the

end of the week.

Sounds like a plan to me!!

"While Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama argue and fight with each other, John McCain leads."

LEADING?? Leading the way this very week in purging his campaign organization of LOBBYISTS! Leading the way in retracting statements of diplomacy spoken about in previous years to now calling diplomacy ''appeasement with dictators''. Leading the way years ago in public campaign financing laws to now running from the law over his campaign financing.

I saw the flyer Senator Obama mailed to KY residents on McLaughlin this morning. It is appalling!

Senator Obama is standing at the pulpit with a huge cross behind, portraying him as a preacher rather than a Presidential candidate. I am outraged that Senator Obama would use such tactics.

Mike Huckabee was crucified by the press for a cross that appeared on a bookshelf behind him in one of his speeches during his campaign.

It is no surprise that the media, with the exception of ABC, seems to be ignoring the Obama KY flyer.

BO has a long tongue which is long enough to hang himself and that is why he is afraid of questioning and he ducks debates.

He has lots to hide and he doesn''t want people to get close. He prefers show biz, large rally, monologues, smearing one-sided, and he is such a phony on poetic promises of change. He has made no changes but his bank account.

It is ironic that the republicans say they would rather debate against Obama, yet they are doing everything they can to get Hillary the nomination. How unusal. I don''t think that Obama mailed out flyers with him looking like a preacher instead of a politician. That sounds like something his opponents would do. Americans or either very naive or very evil...maybe a bit of both. And why I say are the republicans so fearfuol of Barack Obama. Racism is alive and well in America...ALWAYS!!!

IT''S ALL ABOUT *MONEY* !!!

Money is pushing Hillary out of this election...

for just ONE reason,

and one reason ONLY.

HILLARY IS GOING TO TAKE THE MONEY THAT THE FILTHY

RICH HAVE BEEN STEALING FROM THE POOR FOR DECADES AND

MAKE THEM PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE!!!

THE RICH DON''''T PAY TAXES, THEY HIRE LAWYERS TO KEEP

THEM FROM PAYING TAXES.

***HILLARY IS GOING TO MAKE THE RICH PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE!!!!!

The filthy rich, the really, really rich will do,

anything, ANYTHING, to keep Hillary out of the White

House. AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!!
