Clinton to Leno: Bill “Does Get A Little Carried Away Sometimes”

(CBS)
From CBS News' Fernando Suarez:

BURBANK, CALIF. -- In between fundraisers in California, Hillary Clinton made time to appear on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" where she admitted that sometimes former President Bill Clinton “does get a little carried away sometimes.”

Clinton’s answer came in response to a recent visit the former president made to a San Francisco delegate meeting where a delegate was discussing Richardson’s endorsement of Obama. A reportedly red-faced, finger-pointing Clinton went off on the delegate in a tirade that covered Richardson’s endorsement to the media’s unfair coverage of his wife.

Jay Leno, the host of the show said, “there is no better campaigner than your husband, but the thing I found fascinating was to see him lose his cool when it involves the family…he got literally red-faced, I mean he looked like he was going to explode he was so mad…he just loses it.”

Clinton laughed off the questions saying, “Well, I’ve said that a few times,” adding that she told her husband “OK, honey that’s alright, you know, we don’t have to go and get excited about it.”

Clinton took the stage to thunderous applause, and upon taking her seat she joked about her recent Bosnia trip blunder saying, “This is so great to be here, you know, I was worried I wasn’t going to make it. Yeah, I was pinned down by sniper fire.”

Leno said, “you know, in L.A. that might be true.”

The lil'' woman has a sense of humor, so what, big deal. She''s going to need it after PA. votes. Sorry ''bout her lil'' pipe dream of a woman becoming president(smirk...)

give the bashing a break.

If you are an Obama supporter, you''re one of the reasons he won''t win.

santamonicaj,

Newsflash--As sure as the sun rises and sets everyday, trust me, Obama cannot lose to a girl or an OLD man in need of multiple daily naps with his favorite "blankie". That''s not bashing, that''s the reality of the Obama shuffle steamrolling lil'' Hillary. After PA. votes and we KO "Rocky" Clinton, bring on OLD man McCain, who won''t be able to duck Obama any longer hiding behind lil'' Hillary''s apron.

The thought of Bill Clinton representing us all as "First Gentlemen" is frightening. Aside from the fact that Bill Clinton is in no way a gentleman, he''s an impeached president and disbarred lawyer who disgraced his office and his country once. Wasn''t that enough

What is the matter BLKPRESIDENT, not enough going on with McCain to keep you repubs busy?

DEQ54,

Try again. OLD man McCain has about as much a chance of being the next president as does Michael Dukakis. America doesn''t need or want a candidate who is a grave risk for napping through critical intelligence briefings vital to the safety of America. He could always contact geritol and audition to be a spokeman for them though. Hope he doesn''t forget to take his "blankie" along in case he needs a nother nap. Some "war hero"...

If you are an Obama supporter, and I seriously doubt it, you really don''t get the message. You are acting like a republican--venomous, name calling, no facts--think about it--you are acting like Cheney. That is not Change--that is what we have had for 7 years. If you really support Obama you aren''t doing him any favors with the attitude.

DEQ54,

Obama has this thing already wrapped up. Please don''t be a doubting Thomas on me now? YOU must know inside your gut that a lil'' woman and an OLD man cannot possibly win the hearts, confidence and trust of the voters when Obama is clearly the best choice. C''mon, you know it. It''s the 4th quarter, Obama leads. They have no more time-outs, and we have the ball with less than a minute on the clock.

It is nice to see one article that isn''t negative about Clinton. The media bashing of Clinton is getting so bad, I am beginning to suspect Obama of giving some of his 40 million to CNN and MSNBC. It''s embarrassing to watch these grown men get so hot and bothered by a political candidate.
The Hardball guy from MSNBC is the latest interviewer to get himself all worked up and excited by this guy. I have to change the channel because it makes me feel sick.

I think it''s dangerous for her to be joking about either of these incidents. Do you not think the Super-Delegates will not find this as funny as Jay Leno did? PP Clinton will find a way to lose the nomination for Sen Clinton if she''s not careful.

Simply cannot believe that people actually think lil'' Hillary and OLD man McCain actually have a chance this year. Am I missing something here? Isn''t Obama clearly head and shoulders above these two?

The only way you can tell if Hillary is lying is if her lips are moving - if they are, she''s lying.

Hey BLKPRESIDENT,

You are NOT an Obama supporter. You''re trying to make him look bad by association; Obama supporters do NOT use ageist and sexist slurs, so stop it!
There are plenty of substantive reasons to disagree with McCain and Clinton and plenty more reasons to advocate for Obama.
Stick to that if you want to help Obama.
From a real Obama supporter.

Hillary has grace and humor. She is smart and capable. She would make a great president. If she does half the job her husband did we''d be in good shape. I think I agree with Chelsea. She''ll be better than Bill. Obama will be seen as a racist and anti-american when the Republicans are through with him. We should go with Hillary.

I''m glad to see we are finally catching on..Rushs plot to create caos in the democratic party was to have repugnuts pose as obama supporters to name call and spew the venom of repub. attacks, causing a rift between democrats because its the only possible way they could sneak in and steal the election. we are alittle slow but we''ve caught on to you....go away, we are not listening

I watched Hillary tonite on Leno, she did great-It is really amazing, both she and bill are such great extemporanius speakers, they know what they think and how they feel and what motivates them, so they do not need scripted speeches or telepromtors, I grew up in a time when alot of my generation was falling prey to communes run by con artists looking for them to donate their wordly goods and i guess i feel a chill run over me as i see it happening its deja vue, the scary thing is that the entire country will suffer the consequences

Google this: OBAMA, RAILA ODINGA, FIDEL CASTRO. It gives you some information on Obama''''s cousin in Kenya and other family members. A lot of controversy about Obama''''s visit to Kenya in 2006 and also his teacher talking about his Muslim studies. Google, obama''''s muslim studies

You might as well check it out now because you know the two bridge trolls will be sliding this information under the editor''''s door pretty soon. Of course getting the Liberal media to jump off the Obama glory train might be impossible...

I am not a Hillary fan - in fact I abhor the notion of her winning the nomination, but showing a little sense of humor is not a bad thing by any means - lighten up folks!

"I was worried I wasn%u2019t going to make it. Yeah, I was pinned down by sniper fire."

**When will this imbecile realize that the "sniper fire" is serious.
It is not a joke. It is nothing to laugh at. There are actual American Soldiers wounded and dying from sniper fire. I would like for her to take a trip to Walter Reed to visit the soldiers wounded by sniper fire and repeat what she said to Leno: "I was worried I wasn%u2019t going to make it. Yeah, I was pinned down by sniper fire.%u201D
