Clinton Tries to Explain Bosnia Comments

(CBS)

From CBS News' John Bentley

Hillary Clinton continued to take fire from the press today about not taking fire in Bosnia 12 years ago. “For the first time in 12 or so years, I misspoke," Clinton said today on KDKA radio in Pittsburgh. “This has been a very long campaign. Occasionally, I am a human being like everybody else.”
Clinton has been facing heat over comments she made about visiting Tuzla, Bosnia, in 1996 as first lady. "Everyone else was told to sit on their bulletproof vests," Clinton said back on March 17. "And we came in, in an evasive maneuver....There was no greeting ceremony, and we basically were told to run to our cars. Now, that is what happened."

Video from CBS News, however, shows that is not what happened. Clinton is accompanied by her daughter Chelsea, as well comedian Sinbad and singer Sheryl Crow, and there is no evidence of sniper fire, as she has maintained. "I went to 80 countries, you know,” she said. “I think that, a minor blip, you know, if I said something that, you know, I say a lot of things - millions of words a day - so if I misspoke, that was just a misstatement."

Hoping to turn attention back to her opponent, she told the Pittsburgh Post-Review that she would have left her church if her pastor made the kind of comments Jeremiah Wright made. "He would not have been my pastor," Clinton said about the minister of Barack Obama’s church. "I spoke out against Don Imus, saying that hate speech was unacceptable in any setting, and I believe that."

If Mrs. Clinton "misspoke" then she wants us to believe she is confusing this trip with another. What was that other trip when you and Chelsea were under sniper fire? If not, stop insulting our intelligence. HILLARY,YOU LIED!!!!!

"Occasionally, I am a human being like everybody else." Wow. She wonders why people don''t trust or believe her. Here you have it from her own mouth - she generally is not ''human''. Or is she misspeaking here? Pretty clear this wolf in sheeps clothing sees herself as something more than human, since she''s only like dumb ''ole you and me "occasionally". Scary...

Clinton never was in Bosnia. Why would she visit a war zone?

There she goes again. She''s lying. She didn''t ''misspeak'' on this one occasion. She used the story even before the Iowa caucus. And once more, there is video of her telling the story in Waco, TX, before the primary there. She''s incorrigible!

The day she ''misspoke'' was billed as a major foreign policy speech. It was a prepared speech. If she lies when she is sleep deprived, then she cannot be trusted to answer a phone at 3am!
I feel sorry for her supporters. How can you vote for somebody to be Commander in Chief, when she makes something up even though the truth is accessable to the whole world on video? With many witnesses!!

Liar Liar Pants on Fire!

It turns out that Clinton didn''t "MISSPEAK"

She was READING her speech when she said:

"I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base"

Look at the speech on her website and you''ll see that that LIE was in her prepared remarks:

How can you say you "MISSPOKE" if you are READING the lines?

If Hillary is MISS POKE, does that make Bill MR POKE?

SniperGate takes a new turn:

"Well sir, I think that my mother%u2019s on record as having talked about this and I support what she said. I mean, I was there as well and I%u2019m so honored that I was there." -- Chelsea Clinton
