Ladies And Gentlemen, Your CBS 'Evening News' Set

A whole lot of eras seem to be ending at CBS News lately. Today, they're striking the set of the "Evening News" to make room for a new set for the show's incoming new anchor. (Perhaps you've heard of her?) The "Evening News" will be shot in Washington DC tonight, and then on Monday they'll begin shooting the show from a smaller set here in the broadcast center. While the construction work is being done, much of the "Evening News" staff will be working out of the glamorous environs of the broadcast center cafeteria.

Below, a few pictures of the set as of noon today.

Who will be designing the new set? What will it look like? What colors will it be? Will there still be a desk? Is Katie going to decide how it looks?

I still think CBS should save the shareholders money and use a monkey instead of Ms. Couric. Moonves says Couric already paid for herself with the increase in upfronts. How does he know Couric was responsible for this increase?
