Former President Bill Clinton
Of the eight living past presidents and vice presidents, former President Bill Clinton is the only one who will attend either the Democratic or Republican convention in person.
While he hasn't always been in lock step with President Obama, Clinton will endorse Mr. Obama's re-election this September at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. Mr. Clinton will speak on Wednesday night during the convention, in the slot traditionally reserved for the vice presidential nominee.
Here's a look at what the other past presidents and vice presidents are doing:

Clinton- Steps up to the plate. You have to hand it to Bill.
Gore- There (but not there) by commenting on both conventions.
Cheney- Going fishing. The GOP's VP of the decade told the hide, shut up and stay out of sight.
HW Bush- Can't speak Tea-Party. He's part of the old guard that the GOP is flushing down the toilet. You remember them? The ones that could compromise on issues for the good of the nation?
Quayle- Nice guy, but a Poison Pill. GOP sent him fishing tickets with Cheney.
Jimmy Carter- Getting up there in years. I could see him sitting this one out. He's earned it.
Mondale- See Carter.
