Southwest Flight Attendants Agree to Fly Larger Planes -- Now For the Pilots
Just a quick update on a previous story. It looks like the Southwest (LUV) flight attendants weren't looking to make unreasonable demands from Southwest in order to fly the larger 737-800. The union came to a tentative agreement with the airline that now has to be voted on by the rank and file. I imagine it will be approved.
So now, the focus shifts back to the pilots. As I said earlier this month:
If the order doesn't materialize, however, maybe we should be looking more toward the front of the plane than in the galley. The pilots now have a couple of months to come to the same conclusion as the flight attendants, that flying larger planes makes sense for the airline.
