I'm tired of the interviews taken at a place where cows are crying in pain & fear on the other side of the wall! How callous to conduct information when right behind you are LIVES that need your attention! Are you afraid to show a video of the cows? Why are they crying so? They TOO have experienced the explosion and my be injured internally, emotionally, ear drums busted...compassion is null & void if it only pertains to HUMANS! Buck up and show the plights of the animals too and who are helping them...because YOU sure are not helping them!; Reply to this comment


by bspotusa January 16, 2013 1:09 PM EST: I just finished watching Obama on CBS. Again, "do it for the children" is not designed for resonable -- it's designed for emotion. How many children were killed at and around the World Trade Centers in New York on 9/11/01 by 19 illegal immigrants who should not have been in the country in the first place? How many children are killed by gang-bangers in Chicago alone each year? Are they killed by legal guns? How many people are killed by crooked police officers? Who protects us from them? After 9/11/01, whose rights were taken away? Was it the rights of illegal immigrants, many of whom were working at our airports and in other places with high security? Of course not! It has only been the rights of law-abiding citizens that have been infringed. What has Obama done to protect law-abiding citizens? He has protected illegal immigrants and their children. He treats them as though they are not gang bangers and drug dealers and lawbreakers while those of us who obey the laws lose even more of our rights.
Instead of taking away our rights, why aren't we asking what we could be teaching our children about self preservation and self protection instead of telling them (falsely) that the government will protect them. Animals play and they play rough but they do so as a matter of learning how to protect themselves from predators.
What could the children of Sandy Hook have done to protect themselves? Well, number one, if they had been taught how to protect themselves from people who would harm them, they could have all pushed their desks into the shooter, thrown everything they had at him. They could have ducked down, using their desks for cover while pushing the desks right at the shooter. And kids can do this! They are not weak little people! Yes, it's always best to hide and/or run if you have that opportunity. But when a person gets in and is intent on harm, it's important to limit the harm. What person wouldn't duck if things are thrown at them? As soon as that person is distracted by, say 20 kids throwing whatever they have at him, the opportunity to stop him is there. Those desks coming at him, alone would have been a distraction and yes, maybe he would have gotten off a few shots, but he wouldn't have been able to kill so many. We are not teaching our kids survival. We are teaching them to run and tell and therefore, we are endangering our own children. One of the little boys who was interviewed just after Sandy Hook stated that he knew Karate. Give the kids the ability to defend themselves from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Teach them survival.
Obama is from Chicago, the only state in the Union that does not have concealed carry but yet Chicago has had over 500 murders in 2012. Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the country and yet they have one of the highest murder rates. Chicago also has one of the highest numbers of illegal immigrants and the Chicago Crime Commission has published the GANG BOOK annually that details the gangs, their symbols and members in Chicago and the Suburbs. That book has grown about 50 pages to over 300 2011. So what does that tell you about the ability of the government to protect us and what does that tell you about how effective gun laws are to criminals?
Why does Obama want to protect illegal immigrants and take away the rights of law-abiding citizens?
This President has no credibility with those of us who know how many gun laws are already on the books. The reason is because all those currently existing gun laws are not enforced. Obama wants complete control and I don't believe his motives are pure. After all, he has protected his illegal immigrant aunt and others while law-abiding citizens are forced to give up their rights.; Reply to this comment


by 1whotellsthetruth November 27, 2012 8:14 PM EST: Hello CBS, there is a rather large scandel happening over the POTUS and his admistration puposely lied about the Benghazi attack being over a video and not the fact it was a planned attack that killed 4 Americans. As the administration heaps lie after lie the big news agencies like CBS ignore it. If you really want to be a news network please report the news! Can't believe anything you present until the truth is told!4 American are dead, the administration lies about it until your solid competitors at Fox got it. I find in morally and personally reprehensible that such a person can be allowed to spew forth such lies, falsehoods and fiction as anyone to be considered newsworthy.
CBS has clearly sunk to the depth of the SLIME FOX NEWS level and is unworthy of continued viewing for facts and truth with the arrival of Liar Luntz.

Finding out that republican pollster Frank Luntz works for Fox News is one thing. Hearing that CBS- a real professional news network actually hired him is both disturbing and disappointing.

For those who watch more than Fox News and read the Fox News website it is well known that Frank Luntz was one in the small group of top republicans who met on President Obama's inauguration day to literally plan his failure as president. (If I know this then there is no excuse for CBS not knowing this)Which of course meant the country would fail. (Remember what senate majority leader Mitch McConnell is on record as saying..."Our number one goal is to make sure President Obama is a one term president ")
To plan the failure of the brand new president- especially during such horrible times is flat-out un-American. So to find out that CBS would hire such a person for anything is extremely upsetting

I've had to switch TV stations to try and get information that's available on the internet. Really pathetic on your part.
