KRLD -- According to Aviation Week, over 20,000 airline pilot jobs will open up in the next 7 years due to the FAA mandated age 65 retirement.

The "Young Eagles" Program of the Experimental Aircraft Association will be taking folks from 8 to 17 years old up for free discovery flights on Saturday March 21.

"Our members love to do this. They have a passion to spread their passion for aviation," said Michelle Daniel of EEA Chapter 34. The Young Eagle flights will depart from Aviator Air at Grand Prairie Airport.

The rides are free, but you do have to sign up to get a seat. Future aviators between the ages of 8 and 17 only please!
