Yes, Hot. But A Few Storms

We are in the midst of yet another 100° day across north Texas, the 2pm hourly weather round-up made it official at DFW:

With the Heat Index it makes for the kind of summer heat that warrants a Heat Advisory (it continues until 7pm tonight):

There are numerous outflow boundaries in place for previous storms. More of them are along the Red River and just to the south, that's where the best chance exists for afternoon/early evening storms:

We are already seeing them pop up and expect them to increase in coverage as the afternoon wears on. I'll be updating the radar via Twitter ( @cbs11jeffrey) and our Facebook page (CBS11 Weather). We could get some strong downbursts with these storms along with some lightning.

There is no early show today because of Golf coverage on CBS. I'll be posting a webcast version of the forecast around 5pm and have a full forecast just after CBS primetime. We have a cold front coming in tomorrow to break the current heat wave!
