ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A man dressed as a woman shot a pharmacist this morning during an attempted robbery.

The man walked into the Remco Pharmacy, in the 1600 block of  West Division Street, and demanded drugs. It isn't known if the pharmacist complied, or tried to comply, but at some point he was shot -- perhaps as many as three times.

CBS11 News talked with an employee at a neighboring business who said they were told the suspect wanted hydrocodone.

The shooter ran from the pharmacy on foot. Police haven't said if they believe the man is still armed.

The pharmacist was taken to a local hospital and is being treated for his injuries. His condition isn't known.
