PEARLAND, Texas (AP) — A Houston-area woman is accused of driving drunk and causing a two-vehicle crash that killed a Pearland police officer.

Brazoria County jail records show Amber Willemsen of Friendswood was being held Wednesday on a charge of intoxication manslaughter.

Willemsen's bond is set at $150,000.

Pearland police say Officer Endy Ekpanya died Sunday after his patrol car was struck by another vehicle as he responded to a non-emergency call.

Willemsen was treated for minor injuries.

Records show Willemsen in 2014 completed two years of probation in a misdemeanor DWI case.

She was arrested May 29 on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and was free on bond at the time of the deadly wreck.
