Wells Fargo Bank Robbed In Frisco; Report Of Shots Fired

FRISCO, TX (CBSDFW.COM) – A Wells Fargo Bank in Frisco was robbed today according to the Frisco Police Department.

Officials confirmed that the incident took place at about 10:45 am at the bank near Lebanon and Legacy.

According to Frisco Police, a male suspect entered the bank, fired shots into the ceiling then demanded money. They said he then took of with an undisclosed amount of cash in an "unknown direction."

No one was hurt.

Chopper 11 was over the scene. Several police and at least one K-9 officer could be seen at the bank where crime scene tape and traffic cones appeared to be blocking access.

Police said that officers were deployed in the surrounding neighborhoods as a precaution.

Police said they're talking to witnesses and reviewing security footage.
