Wedding Photo Honors Memory Of Couple's Oldest Son

(CBSDFW.COM) - A photographer's extra effort made a family photo complete on a Georgia couple's wedding day.

Anna Bozman married her boyfriend Travis Thompson in October, according to the Prayers for Lake Bozman Facebook page. Lake Bozman, 8, is the couple's oldest son had lost his battle with leukemia six months earlier.

When it came time to take a family photo after the ceremony, Anna posed with Travis and their two other children, but she felt a huge void without Lake by their side.

"Although I felt his presence that day and I was actually happy, it was almost unbearable to take family pictures without him. I could feel my emotions taking over after the ceremony when it was time to take pictures. I became anxious and almost irritated but I knew these pictures had to be taken," Anna posted on Facebook.

The photographer, Brandy Angel, owner of Brandy Angel Photography, found a way to incorporate Lake's presence in a way that celebrated his spirit and gave peace to his mother.

"They turned out beautiful and thanks to my amazing photographer she was able to get some special edits done. I needed this picture more than she or anyone could ever know. THIS is my family. And we will be together again. Thank you to all of you for the support and love that you have showed our family these past 6 months," she wrote.

This is Angel's fourth picture to gain national attention.  The first helped find a kidney for Georgia police officer Raleigh Callaway.  The 49-year-old father of two was suffering from Stage 5 kidney failure when Angel's picture of his family went viral.  A complete stranger, who lives in Texas, stepped forward as a donor after seeing Angel's pictures online.
