DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A pipe burst just after 4:00pm Tuesday, flooding Marsh Lane near Walnut Hill.

Water flowed from the water main break for about an hour and a half before crews could shut off the valves. Traffic was diverted from the area during this time.

Crews are expected to continue working to replace the bad section of the pipe well into the night.

About 20 customers were impacted by the break, including Marcela Vasquez.

"It was just surprising," says Vasquez. "I know the kids they were really excited we're playing in the mud of the water but it did cause a little bit of damage to our garage some of our down low especially our neighbors stuff got wet."
