Vehicle Wheel Theft Spikes In Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — A rash of wheel theft has been reported throughout Highland Park and East Dallas in recent weeks.

Rims and tired have been reported as stolen overnight. Families wake up to their vehicles resting on bricks. Dallas Police report there have been five incidents in the Lakewood area alone.

Police are working with other agencies to investigate any relation between incidents.

Auto theft in Dallas this year is the only property crime that has jumped up.
